You know what was a disappointment? The first season of The Terror. It started off well, but ended with a whimper. Plus it had "fuck white people" rhetoric and secret gay relationships because "the past was le bad." I'm sure the second season being set in a Japanese internment camp was just as insufferable.

A few years ago I saw The Host (2006) and found myself mystified by the horror/sci-fi genre labels it carried. Went in expecting a horror film, and ended up watching a family drama comedy with horror elements. A surprisingly funny film, where none of the laughs are made at the expense of any of the character arcs. All the characters are real likeable and rational. They make choices that make sense in the story. I can't recall the last time I watched a horror movie with genuinely likeable characters. The film's got a cynical perspective on certain relations, but never crawls up its own ass to lecture you. The theme of family enduring against the odds is sincere. Only criticism is certain things aren't properly explained or explored, and the film feels 10-20 minutes too long. But everything else about it is good. The very last scene at the shack is so down to Earth, probably what would actually happen IRL. It's all so refreshing. The director Bong Joon Ho would go on to make Parasite, which I plan on seeing soon.
 
When your generic slop game remake isn't enough, we have a generic slop movie adaption!

Elevated horror looks to be out for this months horror trailer compilation. There's some old school looking slashers. An obvious anti-white people pregnant lesbian movie and one about an evil Jester. Some of these are going on my to watch list.

Well they got Christopher Gans back, and the lead chick is pretty hot. But it looks like it's going to be focused on the charisma vacuum from Warhorse. Slop tier CGI, and Canadian horror beats.

I didn't mind the first Silent Hill movie (never played the game so didn't give a shit about lore), but Brotherhood of the Wolf was gay and I didn't see his Asylum tier Beauty and the Beast scam. Hardly a horror visionary.

Probably be on par with the SH sequel movies. Hell I've probably spent more time on this post than anyone involved with this film has making it.

the Boots trailer was fucking great
Lord Of The Rings Also Fast Zombies With Dicks is not so great
I def see what Dear Feeder was getting at about like, you can almost hear them arguing about what each shot's going to be like Daffy and Bugs

So this is what Fedorchuck looks like in 2025. It's so hard to forget that he's actually fucking rich and not just some random white trash boomer junkie.

Waiting for Ben's part 2 to see if he can gather enough victims to get the guy to actually sit in court for real.

It's more, he wrote a script on his own and has yet to pitch it to DC.

From what has been said seems to be a remake of the Batman TAS episode The Man Who Killed Batman rather than a story that follows the Joker.
