I generally liked The Witch but was disappointed by Northman, Nosferatu, and Lighthouse. I have different gripes about all of them that I won't get into but in short I think Eggers just doesn't understand how to craft a satisfying narrative, which is the most fundamental aspect of a movie. He is a big proponent of the "death of the author" viewpoint which just bolsters my opinion. His films are otherwise technically very well made which is what makes them feel "off." To quote RLM, "You may not have noticed, but your brain did."
I'll be going to Orlando HHN this year, although I haven't been following it super closely because I am irritated by the slow drip-feed release of what will be there. I swear they used to drop this info way earlier in the year. Currently arguing with my group on whether or not to do express passes or early access.
Fallout is such a bizarre choice to me, although tbf I haven't seen the show. I will be shocked if they don't do Terrifier. I'm sure they'll have a Friday the 13th house/zone too since the legal nightmare with that IP seems to have finally resolved. A24's prequel series just started casting so that won't be incorporated. The Undertaker was at HHN about 20-something years ago and it would be very funny if that was revived.
HHN Japan is getting Resident Evil. It would never happen but I'd love for USA HHN to have a year that's all vidya.

I love Silence of the Lambs but I can't help but notice how much garbage could've been avoided if Clarice wasn't so bad at her job. I get the movie is old and we've been through several decades of overexposure to psychos and killers since, and she's SUPPOSED to be a rookie but she is really, really bad at her job. She fails very often to put two and two together when it's fairly obvious. Lecter all but screams the answers to her, but it takes so long for it to click for her. I guess that's to the movie's benefit, but still....I hope that FBI isn't real life accurate.

I think the term "universe" is to account for the A24 prequel show coming up, which may retcon a lot, as well as potentially bandied-about spin-offs.
I think she's fine, and I am usually quite critical of how retarded female characters are. She's a young rookie and she's dealing with discrimination and stonewalling from her own "team." Lecter speaks to her in riddles and I can't think of any direct information he gives her. He gives her some clues to Bill's psychology but iirc all the actual solid connections are formed by Clarice herself. Clarice ends up discovering Bill's identity by doing boots on the ground recon at the hometown of one of his victims after she realizes the girl was a tailor and Bill probably copied her templates. Bill would have totally blown her brains out in his basement but Clarice recognizes the sound of a hammer being drawn back and blasts him.
The only reason it seems like she's slow is because we already know who the killer is pretty early in the movie. Now if we want to talk about how retarded she is in the sequel, Hannibal.....
A real FBI agent would never put themselves in the amount of peril that Clarice did just to catch one measly serial killer

If you're only going to screen one of the movies it should be either Part 4 or Part 6 imo. The first one doesnt even hold up that well tbh, Part 2 is a huge improvement in pacing, etc.
He looked his best in Part 7,

I always watch a random F13 movie on a Friday the 13th but the trouble is remember which one I watched the last time. And I've memorized the movies so well at this point that I remember all of them just as vaguely, except for the first one.

Agree and agree. Part 4 and 6 would be the most universally pleasing and accepted "peak Jason" (Part 3 ties with 6 for my favorite, but I concede that that's an unpopular opinion). Part 1 is vital for setting up the mythos, but let's be real, we want to see Jason. He looked so fucking good in 7, it almost makes me look past the censored kills and dumb zombie dad ending.
