That is from the first movie and to be fair the second one isnt some kind of iconic movie or anything but it does what it is supposed to well. people didn't like the exposition that it did so it got less time in the building.

the one about the vampire couple was cute
tbh I don't remember any of the other stories. also the monster attack at the end was pretty cool

Speaking of anthology horrors and since I'm in a Tales from the Crypt mood, I'd like to recommend these two flicks:
A solid 7.5 out of 10 horror flick. Only downside is that if you know how the story/urban legend ends then there's no surprise to any of the stories. They play out pretty much exactly as told.
A very good anthology horror I'd give an 8 out of 10 to. The final story drags but overall I really like this one.

I liked Troma's Hellblock 13 anthology. The first short sucks, but the one about the white trash domestic abuse couple and the one about the drug trafficking occult biker gang are awesome.

Holy shit! I've been looking for the first movie you posted since I last saw as a rental. Man, I looked online but it seemed elusive but I did rediscover Grim Prairie Tales. So it wasn't a total loss.
Here's one you guys will love. It's a so bad and cheesy that it's good flick: Terror Eyes
I've been watching a lot of anthology horror movies myself this week, specifically The Company of Wolves, Tales that Witness Madness, Trick r' Treat, Tales from the Hood and the 60s J-horror Kwaidan.

that reminds me, I recall Werewolves On Wheels to be pretty good, but not in the total splat trash way you'd expect, it's more slow cult stuff and bikers doing biker things
sorta like how Shock Waves is a pretty nice spooky castle movie but not quite the buckets of blood fun you might imagine from "underwater nazi zombies"

This is especially way better than the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th.

I can't recall any set in a castle but I did have a thought about one that could be interesting if it hasn't been made. Čachtice Castle in Slovakia, it's the castle where Elizabeth Bathory used to live. It could give a nice spooky atmosphere since so many of the found footage ones usually take place in some sort of asylum. Could have the final monster of course be the ghost of Elizabeth.

That's a sick idea! I've just always thought if we're gonna do the ghost hunting shtick might as well use more of the locations instead of always being in an asylum/hospital or haunted house. Think of the stuff you can play with in a castle: Suits of armor, spirit of a torturer in a dungeon and all the twisted shit that comes with that, pots of boiling oil, iron maidens, stretching racks. Castles just seem primed and ready to go wild. God, fingers crossed someone makes something like that one day, I'd eat it up.

My vote is for Art simply because he was never defeated by a bunch of children who later ran a train on a girl in a sewer.

Art does know how to use a gun and doesn't play with his food. The problem with Pennywise is he runs on children logic. Sure he goes after adults every so often but it's mostly kids, so if the kids believe that he can be brought down with silver because he turned in to a werewolf then it works.

I always thought Pennywise was a pussy. Yes, great design and look of the character. Tim Curry nailed it. Skaarsgood did a very good job and brought something different to it. But aside from that, the character is just a big pussy with a generic "He's your worst fear ever" kind of power. A power that Freddy was able to make infinitely more interesting. And it's funny how the two projects were released around the same time with IT and Nightmare on Elm Street.
King's overwriting is what hurts the character. It should just be an evil clown or a manifestation of that. And that's it. No space aliens. Giant turtle. Child orgies. Native Americans. None of that shit. We just need to know that it's a thing that likes to scare and eat children every 30 years. Done. That's all you need.
