How did creepypastas ever become a thing? There were a few rare hits, and yes, all media has those in a flood of low-effort dross. But looking back, who ever thought this Patrick Tomlinson-tier garbage was scary?

I remember they had to make a separate site for crappypastas, parodypastas, and trollpastas.

Maybe I'm being a chronological snob? Nobody thinks the OG Frankenstein or Nosferatu is pants-shitting scary anymore, either.

You have to remember that they were originally designed to be spammed on image boards, forums and E-Mail chains to scare the shit out of retarded children because they were usually scary images with loosely fitting stories, hence the name. Nowadays pretty much any short-story published on the internet is considered a Creepypasta now. There’s a few diamonds in the rough in the classic and new era of Creepypastas, but the originals are either so shit and edgy and read like a 12 year old trying to hop on the bandwagon with their first Creepypasta, or the new ones are so retarded and come off like some Autistic Redditor trying to make their ultimate short horror story with a fucking name like “If You See Me Shitting in the Toilet at a 7-11 at 3 AM, Please Give Me a Snoball from the Store Clerk” or some shit.

I remembered watching this movie as a kid when it aired on HBO, and by the time that scene popped up, I ran like a pussy
Same exact shit happened with me lmfao. And my dad used to fuck with me using it, too.

My dad was relaxed and he knew I was scared of things
Yeah, my dad was normally pretty understanding of when something was over the top or not, but I’m pretty sure he thought that me being so scared of Large Marge was so fucking stupid and retarded he thought it would be funny as fuck to let me walk into the computer room or the family room and just see it on the screen every time in an attempt to get me the fuck over it.

He's trying give you the scared straight test, huh?

I'm sure there's usual who-owns-which-character-rights fuckery preventing this but also Robert Englund and Bruce Campbell are both, unfortunately, too old.
Plus, both Campbell and Englund are irreplaceable as Ash and Freddy Krueger, respectively. Jackie Earle Haley tried to emulate as Freddy in the 2010 reboot, but he's not as good. That, and also the script he was given and the fact that the makeup in said reboot sucked.

If Send Help does well, then we could potentially see a Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash.
If it happens today it might be a different version then the comic. Not that it was bad, but Sam Raimi felt it was more Freddy vs Jason with a sprinkling of Evil Dead.

Yet who will play Ash or Freddy Krueger, because neither of them would ever be as good as Campbell or Krueger

There was a cool movie with a hitchhiker called "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" but it's even older than Saw 1 so you guys probably never heard of it

Other than the fact that they were low budget and involved "open spaces," I never got that Night of Fear and TCM ever had anything in common. Just seems like ex post facto bullshit "criticism" to me, bolstered by the fact that people want to shit on TCM and Tobe Hooper and that no one's ever seen Night of Fear (it's not even a movie, it's a 45 minute made for TV (albeit, I don't think it was ever shown on TV) show).

TCMNight of Fear
The killersA family of at least 3 psycho bad asses and grandpa1 faggoty hermit
The victimsA van load of kids one of the killers found and marked2 ladies who incredulously arrive at his cabin
The killingsChainsaw and various other bladesmagical rats
ExtrasNarrated by John Laroqutte, who got paid in weed
Leatherface, grandpa, titties and shorts, amazing set design, the fucking camera flash charge sound
a hidden lever that releases magical rats, a cat, pretentiously has no dialogue or titties (but does have a naked dude's junk), a musical shovel

In conclusion, Last House on the Left is the best exploitation film and it's a real shame that Wes Craven had his balls cut off during post-production.

And Last House on the Left has a great song that would become the staple KF Discord when one is lonely in VC

I got to say the first time we see Leatherface and he hits one of the kids on the head, that scene still gets me a bit. I think it's because I've helped slaughter animals and that scene is a bit too close to real. It's not loud, or overly bloody, it's just there.

Recent watch "The Passenger", a 2021 release from Spain, a horror-suspense-comedy sort of outing with some creepy moods and gloopy FX.

It feels like one of those regional B horror films released in the 1990s that would languish in obscurity until it gets licensed by one of those labels like Vinegar Syndrome. I mean that in a complimentary way.
