I hate you.I saw the shining this weekend in the theater. Its pretty good. the first half is pretty slow, but the second is better. It does drag here and there.

You should defoo imoWatched Evil Dead Rise last night. I did not really care for it, and my family seemed to think the same.
I'd say the same. Compared that to the bullshit known as Spiral, and this is a breath of fresh airI watch Saw X this weekend. It’s better than the last 3-4 entries, but it’s still not as good as prim Saw.
The trailer for it made me laugh a few times. Cringe, I know. But I suspected that all of the good jokes were in the trailer.Watched The Blackening, which was bad, was expecting a cash-in on the success of Jordan Peele but it turned out to be more like Scary Movie just with a bit more being "socially hip" with the times. However, the whole satire of horror film tropes and ethnic stereotypes from critics was really overblown, most of them are shallow race jokes or maybe a reference to something rather than anything close to a satire.
Found it extremely unfunny, with Clifton feeling like a character from a Channel Awesome movie, with the actor being on par with those as well. Gore was pretty much not there at all, feel like drug use was the only reason it got the R rating.
Looking up the director, turned out to be Tim Story, who is not a well-known name but his movies sure as hell are well-known, Taxi (2004), Fantastic Four, and the new Tom and Jerry movie. All critical duds, and having now watched the Blackening it very much isn't shocking he is behind this.
Followed it up with the classic Wolfman movie, which was a nice 70-minute movie.
French film?Watched The Night Eats the World last year, and I thought it was a pretty good movie. It’s a French zombie film based off a novel of the same name, but it’s in English and It’s not your typical zombie movie where people are getting eaten and there’s action and tension everywhere. It’s about some average dude stuck inside an apartment building during a sudden zombie apocalypse and how he tries to occupy his time living alone and staying sane. The zombies are pretty interesting, too because they don’t make any noise besides the sound of their stiffened joints and tendons moving. It might not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it. It also has a pretty interesting hidden theme that I don’t see a lot of people pick up on, but becomes so obvious once you realize it.
If you have time to kill and don’t mind a slow-burn with a zombie twist, there’s a re-upload of the movie on YouTube.
