I assume, considering their last decade's worth of films haven't even achieved the meagerest bars set for them, that we may have seen the last of the Zombies. If even their soyed out Netflix member-berry cobbler Munsters couldn't get any traction, then they're probably done.

Also, this is (apparently) more sci-fi than horror, but it's one of the more intriguing trailers I've seen in a while. No stupid shit (I mean other than the stuff that has to be there), and no real red flags in it. I wonder how long until I find out something that's going to prove this is shitty and have me stop looking forward to seeing it. (sorry that it's IGN-movies, for some reason they're the only channel with the updated trailer on it...the previous trailer was cut together by a meth head.)

Might have something to do with being his wife.
A lot of directors have wives. Of course they aren't all married to actresses, but hey neither is Rob Zombie really...

PFFFFT! Look at the pleb over here with his plebian tastes. Nigga, let me introduce you to the cinema of Bill Zebub:
Yeah I can't make it to the end of a Bill Zebub movie... iirc he's done some that are several hours long, for all the real fans. Sometimes I get really curious about who's actually watching this stuff.

You're really not missing much by skipping the filmography of Bill Zebub.
But he was so compelling getting wasted on cheap beer in S&Man!

I’m trying to imagine several hours of ruined belly button footage from Bill Z and now I think I need to get wasted on cheap beer.

Deep thoughts:

What if the head in the vice scene from Martin Scorsese's Casino was his homage to Fulci?

@Pop-Tart
Horror is a genre for the mentally retarded. It is literally lower then Marvel and super hero movies in terms of quality, artistic impact, and mental fortitude of its audience. Maybe some elevated thrillers have a place but that is it. Sneed about it.

I watched Zombie Island Massacre (1984), for some reason. It's not a zombie movie and I bet the title was the distributor's (Troma) idea.

It really sucked, but the score is by F13's Harry Manfredini and it sounds exactly like a vaguely voodooish version of the Friday 1-4 soundtracks, and that got me through it. Turns out he also did the soundtrack for A Talking Cat!?! featuring Eric Roberts, so maybe that's worth looking at.

Okay niggers, it's time to talk about Blood Dolls.

It's Blood Dolls time.

BLOOD DOLLS

B L O O D D O L L S

So Blood Dolls is probably one of my favorite Full Moon movies despite being an utter shit film. Directed by Charlie Band he does a half-decent job and the film works despite him. It has a weird anarchic tone very similar to Troma but whereas Lloyd is like at an 11 on the Over The Top meter this movie is like a 7 or 8 on that same meter.

Insane millionaire dude with a secret wants to kill people and has an assistant who stays dressed up in clown makeup and he has 3 killer dolls -hence the god damn Blood Dolls- who all kill various random people. That's about it in terms of plot. The insane millionaire also keeps an all girl band in his mansion in an electrified cell.

It's a POS but it has this distinctive tone and it's like B-movie junk food. It helps that the music by the all girl band is catchy. Partly why the movie was made was to make toys of the Blood Dolls but they only got as far as making the Pimp many years later as I think the Full Moon toy division fell apart.

But there's more Blood Doll discussion to be had.

Hollyweird is directed by the director of Wayne's World and the Decline of Western Civilization series and it dishes the matter of fact BTS details during the making of the movie. A trailer or extended clip is all that remains of the movie because it still has never been released. It's been suggested that Charles Band refused to let it be released because it shows him in a bad light.

Did anyone get a chance to watch the Amusement Park, on Shudder? Kind of interesting, can’t lie. I can’t imagine what the guys who paid for that felt when they watched it.
I was not aware of that one, but now I've seen it. It reminded me of Glen or Glenda in the way it purports to be an educational film, then goes off the rails and plows through a whole village. "You see, growing old is a little bit like BEING CONDEMNED TO AN ABSURD NIGHTMARE DIMENSION FROM WHICH THERE IS NO ESCAPE, thank you for your time." It was pretty good.

Oh and I caught Skinamarink too. Probably a good thing they didn't have the budget to animate their own Squidward Suicide-esque short with hyper realistic blood and put that on the TV, or they might have gone there. Eventually somebody's going to make a movie that's one unbroken POV shot of somebody scrolling through geocities conspiracy websites in 1997 while a ghost moves their can of Mountain Dew half a cm every time they blink, and it will somehow still cost $50,000 to film.

I find this lack of Blood Dolls discussion to be disconcerting.
A man of culture. Salute.

It's been years since I watched that one, I wonder if I could get my hands on a physical copy for a future weekend indulgence. An absurd, rough gem. Hard to believe this movie is from the late 90s, wonder how it holds up today.

Pain, pain, feel the strain!
