I had the misfortune of losing 84 minutes of my life watching Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones because I erroneously thought it was not tied to the main series (like the Japanese spin-off). What a boring piece of shit! It emphasizes the "Why are they still filming?" question in the found footage genre. I could not care less about the further worldbuilding where a coven is associated with the demon antagonist (what a shock). And the ending, which was foreshadowed, was so stupid. I don't know how this series lasted as long as it has and why it was what popularized found footage.

I'm starting to get excited about this. Will it be objectively good? Probably not, it looks like a student art film. But I love kindertrauma and this looks like it has some seriously oppressive atmosphere going on.

Oh God The Spic Ones is a masterpiece of shit. The reality distorion effects are absolutely brilliant. I watched it on theaters and was told to stfu because it made me lol

Takes on Malignant? Is there any reason at all to watch it? Nice setpieces? James Wan sucks many dicks at the art of fine filmmaking imo, but I trust you guys.

M3GAN, meanwhile, is shaping up to be a big draw, if social media is a metric. The film’s trailer launch became a cultural trend online spawning countless memes, fan reactions, and celebrity posts from people like Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion and Halle Berry. TikTok posts that used the #M3GAN hashtag have been viewed 521.2 million times, per Blumhouse. Posts that use #M3GANDANCE are at 62.9 million.
M3GAN looks absurd in its premise and design. I know it's supposed to be an AI doll, but she resembles a sex doll. Who would be afraid of a RealDoll or even give that to some kid as a gift? It does look entertaining in a bad way, though.

Depends on how much you know about it before hand. A lot of its entertainment comes from the absurd twists it takes. I'd also say it's best to watch it with at least one other person for their reactions.

It's pretty bloated, about 30 minutes too long. Thanks to the last 10-15 minutes of the movie, I enjoyed it a bit more than I expected too. Basically it's worth a watch (just barely, cause it's almost 2 hours), especially if you can find a normie to watch it with. 6/10.

Thanks for sharing. I found it in the deep recess of the internet and I really liked this one. It reminds me of Begotten if it were set in a house from a child's perspective.

Prey is a much better movie than malignant, it's not even in the same league.

I'm gonna rewatch I Saw the Devil tonight. It's still one of my top 10 best movies of the last 20 years.
I Saw the Devil is pretty fucking solid.

I've been having myself a Hammer Horror Weekend.

Captain Clegg (1962) - 8/10
Mostly a mystery movie. Very good performance from Peter Cushing.

The Gorgon (1964) - 9/10
Features the second Doctor Who masquerading as some sort of Inspector. Also features two other little known actors Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.

Horror of Dracula (1958 ) - 7/10
