I didn't know the new Pinheads actor was a troon. I just knew the actual character was asexual or something. Ew
Don't you know in Hollywood you can't play a character anymore with out identifying yourself. For instance trans characters now have to be played by actual transgender. It all begin when angry trannies force Scarlett Johnson out of a role for a movie playing a transgender. Because she isn't one.

I know it's retarded but it's the world we live in.

But like I said actually surprised that trannie Pinhead looks cool.

Visually it looks neat but I guess we have to wait to see if it's a disaster or not. I just want a good Hellraiser movie for once...

Yet canonically beautiful White European characters can, and must, be portrayed by the most hideous shaved chimpanzees the (((producers))) can find. Curious.
White erasure is real and the mental gymnastics people go through to not see it is amazing, even though it is actually suicidal.

There's an upcoming movie I've been keeping my eye on since I'm confused at the whole thing.

Even the trailer keeps the plot under wraps and I don't know what the fuck is it about. People themselves say they're glad to finally meet a trailer that shows no spoilers, but it didn't show the premise/plot at that either. Is it a home invasion? Body snatchers? Eldritch house? Home that houses serial killers or what? Trailer just shows "woman that enters rented house that already houses somebody and creepy shit happens". Title doesn't give me enough either. Who's the foreigner?
When I first heard of this, I thought somebody did a horror movie about Sword & Sorcery/Conan-esque barbarians, but unfortunately it was not.
Hype and marketin is ramping up, one of the directors is Zach Cregger from The Whitest Kids U Know. Probably not going to meet my expectations, lot of people that saw early screening have been saying the movie is bonkers. I'll wait for a few weeks after release to see how it really is and see if is it worth a watch.
I'm going to take a gander that that the summary of the plot is a red herring and the woman is the 'barbarian', because who the fuck goes up to a house and stays there? The house is already rented by either that dude, or rented by her but he somehow got in. The lack of specific detail on which is pretty telling.
Editted to add trailer:

EDIT 2:
The reason for the title by Zach himself. Not sure whether to be disappointed or go "hey, thats a neat way of thinking".

I don't know based on that trailer I'm hyped as fuck.

Checked out people's reviews on letterboxd

Consensus seems to be that it's a wild fucking ride, didn't see a single one that said it's a bad movie, so at the very least it looks like its going to be a good time. Really laughed at the 3 1/2 stars "I was way too fucking high for this movie"

Also reminded, having stumbled across someone's review of it, of an indie horror release from 2010. Now, let's face it most indie DIY horror film projects are dog droppings. Cheap attempts at pastiche, or yet another zombie movie featuring some out of shape guys in jumpsuits being passed off as an elite military unit, or big ideas that lack a proper execution, or gross exercises in tacky greenscreening and CGI that looks like something out of a locally produced commercial from 2000. Yet it's in that realm you can find interesting items, like this one.

The House of Black Wings is an example of a very, very, very modestly budgeted film (and boy does the microbudget show) where the elements manage to really click. Sure it was shot on video with some amateur actors and effects and there's some emo-ish rock music but it still works better than some more polished horror productions. Kate Stone, whose budding career as a rock musician was cut short by a tragedy, returns to her home city full of ex-friends. Her only friend willing to offer her a warm welcome is Robyn, who is having trouble maintaining the decaying courtyard apartment building she inherited from her father, what with a draining of her tenants. Kate is offered a place to stay at the Blackwood as long as she helps out as an unpaid super. Robyn is also an artist, who creates macabre dollhouses or tries to as she continues to deal with the loss of her father. A couple of the remaining tenants are also artists, like the manic writer and a wannabe guitarist. Soon after Kate settles in, the strange dreams start, and in the day she hears the flapping of wings, and scuttling noises from behind the walls, and apparitions and after awhile it becomes all too apparent that these aren't all in her mind...

While they seem to be doing a good job keeping the plot of this movie secret, I found a Q&A that contains massive spoilers if anyone is interested (fair warning - do not even play the first second of this video if you care about spoilers):

Also, following the example of @Commander X in posting interesting, low budget indie horror we've seen, I recently watched Cactus Jack - the plot is that an amateur filmmaker is taken captive by a guy who's basically just the human embodiment of /pol/. It's a pretty ridiculous movie but I genuinely respect the balls of people willing to make something so completely un-PC.
Trailer:

Steve Carrell? In the /horror/ thread? Somehow, yes.

I'd suggest to go in with as little spoilers as possible, but the best way to describe it would be Sopranos meets Dexter. Steve Carrell plays the therapist, Domhnall Gleeson plays the serial killer, there are two episodes out and it's fucking fantastic so far (I'm barely into the second episode). Not much gore in the first two of episode but a couple moment of seriously disturbing imagery that augurs well for the future. Massive trigger warning, though, show involves a few scenes of orthodox jooooos that could seriously disturb your average A&E poster

At 20 minutes per episode, it's definitely worth a try. Especially by the end of the second, you'll want to watch the third episode for sure

Sound quality sound pretty bad, all I heard was that there's a giant naked lady somewhere in the house? no idea how it ties to the plot or how the title fits.

Anyone here have any horror movies that you can always rewatch no matter what?

I remember owning the DVD of this in my teens. Premise: profit-driven science fuckery creates murderous mutant cow foetuses. Yes, really.

I enjoyed it, though. Cows are unsettling creatures on their own with their vacant yet expectant stares and unpredictability.

Well actually... Doug congratulated the actor playing the new Pinhead on Twitter. So, is his original quote taken from an older source and dug up now to create clickbait?
Let's not forget he didn't even want to play Pinhead at the start because of all the makeup and he was a stage actor at time and thought people wouldn't be able to recognize him!

(He was supposed to be one of the movers that hit on Kirsti.)

Some lesser known ones that I can always rewatch:

Death Machine
Perfect blend of cheesy early 90s sci-fi horror and impressive budget filmmaking. I'll watch anything with the legend Brad Dourif, and he's totally in his element here as a deranged autist weapons designer who declares war on his girlboss supervisor.

Hardware
More early 90s sci-fi horror. I genuinely love the gross, post-apocalyptic world and the weirdo characters who all somehow fit it perfectly. All-timer industrial soundtrack.

Dead Man's Shoes
An unrelentingly brutal revenge movie structured like a slasher film except the slasher is the protagonist. Never loses the emotional impact no matter how many times I watch it, probably in large part because of Paddy Considine's legitimately incredible performance.
