No, he's not, he's kind of like Stephen King, he comes up with great concepts but he can't fucking land them most of the time and/or the longer it goes on the worst it gets.

That is some cope, sir.
It's not cope at all, AHS is the very definition of "great concepts, shitty execution" (aside from season 1 and 2). Literally all of the complaints from fans is that by the time the show gets to the mid-season, they completely fuck it up. They tried to remedy that last season by literally making two stories in one season (and still managed to fuck the latter).

I tried giving American Horror Story a shot but there was way too much dumb shit in the show, was some good setting I guess but nothing really original and that you can't find elsewhere done far better without any of the shit. No way would I give the spin off a shot.

Cope and seethe, sir. I watched a little bit of Asylum and I was like "Oh, they're just stealing from Freaks but it's awful." Then I managed to get through 1984 (the slasher season) because I was hate-watching it and I wouldn't say that there were any good original ideas. The name "Mr. Jingles" or whatever it was for that guy from the Drew Carrey Show who played Drew's brother was retarded. Then the show got more retarded as it went on.

I've seen his other works besides AHS

I saw Glee, I saw Running With Scissors, Nip/Tuck
He's OBJECTIVELY a horrible director. Dude is more interested in having cocks in his mouth than anything good.

I didn't like the third Season, which is the one where they were just stealing from Freaks. Asylum happens in an actual Asylum. I thought that 1984 had a great concept (anyone who dies on the campground stays there as a ghost, anyone who dies outside passes on, a bunch of serial killers being trapped there etc...) and the first few episodes were good. I liked most of the season, really, even though it was just pure cheese by the end and pretty dumb.

Yeah, I haven't seen any of that shit so I can't speak about them.

While we are all shitting on Ryan Murphy, what the fuck was up with Ratched, did he and the others who made that show never read the book or watch the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?

As far as potential good news go, we might be getting a new Friday the 13th movie next year!

It kind of scares me that it's happening in current year, but even the last Reboot was decent, and F13 is the best horror franchise (with more than 4 entries) and only fucked up once (Jason Goes to Hell) so I'm definitely pumped for a new one regardless.

Please let it be the ski resort/winter setting that was teased years ago.

Fixed that for you.

I wonder if it'll use any of the previous scripts that were drafted for what was supposed to be the new film but got delayed. One I read was set in the mid 70's before Jason's drowning and had his father going on a rampage.

Wasn't LeBron James going to produce a Friday the 13th remake at one point?

Yeah, that was a thing and it wasn't another remake. A bunch of F13 projects got shoe boxed when the lawsuit happened. There was even a TV show and it went to pilot but it got passed because it was thought to be too violent for the CW network.

It's like every comedian or big name celebrity wants to touch a horror movie IP starting with Halloween and Saw, and even rejected Friday the 13th projects prior to its lawsuits.

I don't know how I feel about this. I really enjoyed the Pot Farmer Jason remake and I've been wanting another F13 since, but oh god I don't want to see F13 destroyed on the altar of woke and political correctness. I also don't want to see them bring back FvJ Jason, I hated that fucking look.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Sarah Silverman or Patton Oswalt getting killed by Jason.
