So it's still American Horror Story, Captain Pedantic. Jeeze. And AHS still sucks fucking dick.
Would you say that Frasier was "still cheers", captain wayoff? Imagine if I said 'Hey guys, watch those two Frasier episodes' then you went on and on about how you hated Ted Danson.

All I said is 'Hey, if you want to see some Twilight Zone-esque stories that are worth a watch, check out Stories S02E01 and S02E02.

Is Frasier called Cheers 2 or has the Cheers branding? No? Hence, it's still American Horror Story, boomer.

And I liked Ted Danson in Creepshow.

Honestly I have always been confused with the Get Out villains if their racist (as most fans of that movie claim). Why do they want to be in black people's bodies? I mean I don't recall KKK members wanting to become black people so baddly?

It's just Peele using his virtue signal tactics by talking down to his audience and act as if all white Christans are "le bad n sheeeyut." It's very stupid.

So Prey (aka Predator 5) came out. Was gonna watch it tonight, but a couple of friends are coming over and we're getting drunk watching They/Them before going out instead. So here are my thoughts:

The positives
- I love that she wasn't a Mary Sue. She can't kill that deer at the beginning, can't even kill that rabbit right away, she's nearly drowns in a swamp because of her retarded actions... She's basically portrayed as what she is, a young woman coming of age in a warrior society who is struggling with shit happening.
- It's not at all a YAS QUEEN SLAY kind of movie, the only time I kind of groaned is when you see her walking in one direction while all of the women walk the other way, ~muh symbolism~
- There's actual moments of tension even early on; I really liked the scene with the bear, and how she goes oh fuck when she realizes the wind has turned and he's gonna be able to smell her.
- Her reaction to first seeing the Predator being 'nopenopenopenope' and swimming away, while the Predator looking at her like 'lol yeah nah' was really what I was hoping for. Her reaction to seeing the Predator a second time once again being 'nopenopenopenope' and running away was also perfect.
- She doesn't have an innate idea on how to defeat the predator, she learns from what she sees and uses it against him. Really well done.
- Her brother is clearly portrayed as the bigger threat and the better fighter. Literally the only reason she manages to prevail is because the Predator literally thought she wasn't dangerous at all and didn't take her seriously. And even with one arm left, it still feels much more of a threat to her than her to him.
- The kills, especially against the trappers, were top fucking notch. Gore wasn't crazy, but the kills were really fucking great.
- The reverse Arnold where the Predator comes out of the mud was fucking cool as shit.

The negatives:
- It took until halfway through, but the trappers all being a caricature, basically evil inbred white retards, is disappointing. It's almost like they were going for a Django interlude with the KKK, except it didn't work.
- Their retarded plan to attack the Predator: So you get him on the ground, throw a net over and then just... hold it there celebrating?
- Fuck that last line.

Spoiler-free:
- I love that she wasn't a Mary Sue at all.
- Not at all a 'Yas Queen Slay!' kind of movie, if anything it's a lot more like Alien than Aliens
- Builds up a lot of tension.
- It's very realistic as far as who is the predator and who's the prey.
- The kills could have been gorier, but they were entertaining as fuck
- Some really cool visuals, and the audio is also great. Don't watch on your phone, use full surround
- Very little politics, only two eye-roll worthy moments and one short retarded scene but that's it.

2nd Best Predator movie, obviously couldn't dethrone the original, but a legit 9 to almost 9.5/10, one of the best horror movies to come out this year, in fact in recent years.

Guess I'll see if Prey is any good or not, as I have it downloaded into my queue.

Overall, I thought it was pretty good. A little slow but better than parts 3 and 4 and the AVP movies. There's some iffy CGI and I really didn't like how the Predator was killed in this one. But overall I'd give it a 7 pr 7.5/10. It's still not as good as Predator 1 or 2.

I trust your opinion more than random YouTubers and internet troon criminal, so I'll give it a watch this weekend.

Hope after Prey if they have to make more Predator movies they continues what Prey did and make stand alone movies set in different time periods. Just change the outcomes so it's not always humans win.

Predator movies should never be this huge things with world ending threats or any great meaning behind the Predators other than this is a game/hunt for them.

So I watched Prey just last night. It's nowhere as good as the Robert Rodriguez-produced Predators (and also obviously the OG Predator movie). That said, I surprisingly liked it.

The main character wasn't portrayed as a Mary Sue, and while pacing was a bit slow, it never came across as an absolute boring, generic mess that's tone deaf on its original material unlike Tomb Raider 2018 or Terminator Dark Fate nor did it ever come across as a preachy mess with some leftist "yass queen" bullshit unlike Ghostbusters 2016 or Birds of Prey. Parts of this movie I do like include her over-the-top reaction to the bear. The kill scenes were not as gory, but they were pretty cool. However, I cannot stand the ending, especially its final dialogue.

Overall, it's a 6.5/10, though it's merely close to a 7.5 than a 7.

I keep saying this but I'd kill for Predator VS ISIS and/or Al Queda.

Predator vs. the cartels would be brutal. Or Predator/Apocalypto

"What Josiah Saw" was just added to Shudder and I would be curious to hear others' opinions on it because I have a feeling it will be fairly divisive. I kind of loved it, but I am sucker for slow-burn, atmospheric Southern Gothic stuff. It honestly reminded me a lot of "Kill List", with how it slowly ramped up the feeling of tension and inevitable doom over the course of the movie, but probably my biggest criticism is that unlike "Kill List", which had a perfect ending, the ending of "What Josiah Saw" (without spoilers) feels a bit abrupt and leaves a few subplots unresolved.

Overall, I say it is a solid 7.5/10 if you like that style of horror movie, otherwise I could see people finding it far too slow. In terms of "Shudder Originals" or whatever they call them, I would place it as the second best I've seen behind "Downrange". "Downrange" is basically a perfect mean, simple, survival movie that is absurdly brutal and bleak, which I would definitely recommend if that's your style.

This thread is the best one in the whole forum, don't come and fuck it up because you have a weird gay grudge against.

Is 2 really worth a rewatch? I haven't watched it since, like, the first AvP came out and I did a rewatch, and I don't remember being impressed at all with it then.

Yeah, making it a toss up (sometimes they win, sometimes it's a phyrric victory they both die, sometimes they gotta flee) would make it interesting.

Shit, I'd take an anthology of that. Predator vs Samurai, Predator vs Pirates, Predator vs Talibans, Predator vs whatever interesting set up you can make between 1771 and now. Though I'm sure we'd get bored by the the time it's Predators vs Nazis in Space.

Also, yesterday we watched They/Them and I have to say, forget what I said about Prey, this is the masterpiece you've been waiting all along. It's a genuine 12 out of 10, fucking balls to the walls great shit, though with a caveat: to make it a 12/10 you're going to need to have 3-4 friends come over, cheap rum for everyone, a bit of leftover coke, finish all of it with said 3-4 friends and spend the whole time making fun of the cast of faggots or bant about other random shit and not pay attention to what's going on, and then go out afterwards and get so fucking drunk you forgot you even watch it in the first place.

If you don't do that and you're actually watching the movie for it's own sake holy shit it's bad, somehow much worse than you could have imagined, do not watch it under any circumstances you will literally get monkeypox and possibly aids. -5/10
