Haven't seen Nope but I did read the synopsis and apparently there are two scenes that freaked a lot of audiences out, the chimp going on a rampage and the alien digesting people one, so now I'm curious. Are they really that bad or is this just another case of people overreacting?

Given this was a very rare occasion where the Shudder Xbox app actually decided to work, I watched Phil Tippett's Mad God, which is one of those films designed to be impossible to review. From a technical and visual perspective it's a remarkable achievement, but it's also something where it's very much left open to your own interpretation, which is the polite way of saying it makes no sense. The first half has a basic narrative, but the second is basically just a series of individual scenes. It is also so unremittingly depressing that it can seem like a bit of a slog, and even at less than 90 feels a bit too long. One of those things you know if you'll like or not just from seeing the synopsis.

Watched Initiation, was expecting a campy slasher happening in greek fraternities, and I suppose it kind of is, but didn't live up to what it was promising and we spend far too long with the annoying leads. Put that shit in the background while you're cleaning or something. 4.5/10

I'm sorry but Spiral was a fucking retarded film and the behind the scenes of it showed how much the creative team shat on the Saw franchise. They decided to make this non-horror film instead of something with Tobin Bell all because Chris Rock wanted to make a Saw movie since he happened to meet the producers at a party. The film itself was some lazy ass attempt at an anti-police film and felt like a boring crime thriller than a SAW movie, especially with the director trying to act like this is the most mature Saw movie. All the traps and stuff lack any imagination whatsoever while the film revels in how pretentious it is.
I dunno, it's been a while since I've legit seen Spiral. I may have to rewatch it if it still stands my ground after over a year and change. I only liked it according to my first impressions, so maybe it might suck by my second viewing.

I still find it hilarious. Honestly, I was more pissed off with Rob Zombie's Halloween II than I will ever be with Halloween Ends, and not that will be any better.

I recently became aware of this movie after feeling nostalgic for the first movie. Looks like there's both a new director and actor playing the Creeper character. The trailer alone is not the worst but it doesn't have me wanting to see it. Like most modern horror movie trailers it feels you could effortlessly replaced the villain and you wouldn't even notice. Which is why I'm more interested in rewatching the original movie over a remake/reboot/sequel or prequel any day.

Wasn't there a third movie that came out five years prior?

For some reason I was never really a fan of the Jeepers Creepers trilogy, the first one was ... fine, I guess. I guess in a time where we see a surge in rehashing iconic movie villains we can expect nothing less. Wonder when they'll get around to trying to reboot Jason Voorhees yet again.

Paramount tried to after trying desperately getting the rights back in hopes of releasing it between 2015 or 2017, until running into legal troubles. As of 2020, a proper Friday the 13th movie reboot is still in development hell.

HIGHLY recommend this one. Extremely creepy.

Wrong. Nearly everything you said was wrong. Warner Bros. Traded the rights back to Paramount in order to get the rights to Nolan's Interstellar. Paramount had a movie set up but put the kibosh on it when Rings bombed. How you equate F13 with the Ring franchise I don't know but they put it on hold and greenlit Mother! Instead.

Soon after, Warner Bros. Go the rights back but then the lawsuit happened.
