Sorry sir, but I'm drawing a blank. I was going to say Hellblock 13 but I don't think there's a segment set in a haunted house.

I think either (A) this trailer was rushed out or (B) the movie is really like this but the audio is HORRIBLE. Holy fucking bejesus is it bad room audio. I wouldn't be surprised if this trailer is removed or another improved trailer is uploaded. Room audio is fine but this is why you bring the actors back in for ADR so you get nice clean sound without the echo.

Regarding the cinematography and overall production value it just looks cheap. It looks worse than the 80's reboot Munsters Today. It has a really shitty digital video look which makes think that this was not a final trailer or this was a rushed trailer.


WTF happened? Why is it an origin story? Who wanted an origin story? You get no Eddie or Marilyn and the movie has to waste our time with setting up the obvious: we know they get together.

The end gag is bad too.

I hate to say it but Mockingbird Lane had the right idea. And I hate saying that because I would be giving Bryan Pedo Singer credit for something. You could do a horror family sitcom with similar characters but you can't just recreate those characters with new actors because those original actors embodied those characters perfectly. You can't replace Fred Gwynne or Al Lewis. You just can't do it.
 
I checked Rob Zombie's social media and he has been endorsing this trailer which is baffling. I wonder if an intern put it out there without his knowledge or his hands were tied when this trailer was made? Making this film must have been an absolute shit show.

I think Rob must have been huffing kerosene and watched the reboot Addams Family movie which was also an origin story and was like, this is an excellent idea. It wasn't and I'm fully aware it was made for kids and am comfortable saying it blew dogs for busfare. Then again this is the same man who had the writing chops to go 'Hey this is Otis's long lost cousin and he's the coolest and strongest and also he's the Midnight Wolfman lol' in 3 from Hell so what the fuck could I have been expecting?

TO BE FAIR, I think that character was a last second replacement for Sid Haig's character because he was essentially on his death bed and could only record one scene while sitting.

Remember when Troma used to have super-short sales on their website where every DVD or VHS cost $1? I must have put 20-30 titles in my cart, but their fricking website crashed and I couldn't make the sale go through before the sale as over. Ah, early internet commerce was fun...

It was 25 cents per DVD. The catch was the shipping was pretty high. I was too young to have a credit card and missed out.

No but that sounds awesome. I didn't have the Internet for a long time and got them through a mail order catalogue. Funnily enough they seem to have their own streaming service now and I got a good laugh out of that.

Sad thing is that they privated all the movies they had on Youtube.

Their entire catalogue is piecemealed legally through a bunch of 'free TV' apps so it makes their foray into streaming all that much more confusing.
