In this day and age can you blame me for thinking he was being serious?
No I understand why you would think that. But the show makes it pretty clear that Chucky is trying to mold the kid into a killer. He literally just lied about not killing the house maid before Glen is mentioned in the same scene.

ahhh my bad I'm watching only the one free ep and the rest of the show via clips out of context. I guess I could get behind Chucky lying like that to "blend in" with current year. But my other point still stands, Brad dorrif just so done with this franchise, and wishing he hadn't been "Adam wested." where in his most popular role as chucky is so popular it's all most people see him as. So it's the only role he sticks to, it happened to Jamie lee, it happened to Anthony Perkins, it even happened to Robert Englund worst of all. The tagline for his version of Phantom of the opera was literally "He WAS Freddy now..he's The Phantom of the Opera!"

Well that's what happens with alot of the horror icon actors. They can't get awy form their character soon afterwards.

I got the Halloween Kills novelization. Skimming through it.

Characters are more fleshed out. In the book, Tommy Doyle developed severe anger problems after that Halloween night in '78, and he's been a fuck-up ever since. I guess that explains why he's so quick to go apeshit in the movie.

In the book he's even so obsessed with Michael Myers and all things Halloween that he gets a Thorn rune tattooed on his arm, and he rubs it subconsciously when agitated.

Still all seems a pretty excessive reaction to seeing a killer for a second 40 years ago.

1. They still make novelizations of movies?!

2. They actually added a reference to Curse of Michael Myers into a novelization of kills?

Watched Zombie/Zombi 2 tonight.

I thought it was okay, but it's big flaw is that the characters are not interesting at all, and have no interesting conflicts. Come just for the gore, because you won't give a shit about any of these people.

I can tell you're not going to gel with Eyetalian Horror because they're not about characters. They're about the visuals, it's about suspending your disbelief and just letting the movie take you where it takes you.

I've enjoyed some other Fulci movies. I really liked the New York Ripper, and House by the Cemetery.

I think I'm just comparing this too much to Night, Dawn, and Day. The holy trinity,

Lonnie gets fleshed out too.

He went on to become really interested in bizarre crimes and the paranormal. Became kind of a ghost hunter. He wrote books about his experiences, and even a book about Michael.

Well, that's something. All we knew about his life in the movie is jack and shit, and jack left town.

---

Just read another thing. Apparently Michael was hiding in that old mixed race couples bathroom because he was using their first aid kit to patch himself up.

I did notice that Michael's wounded hand was patched up in the movie.

So, to whoever suggested I watch Ichi the Killer? Fuck man. I gotta buy you a beer.
That was something else. I don't know if I loved it or if I was disgusted, but one thing is for sure. That's a movie I need to buy and add to the collection.

So I am happy after last night's episode. To confirm that Chucky is not becoming a tragic villain. In fact he is revealed to be almost like Michael Myers as in they were evil even as kids.

In the novelization, during the scene where Tommy is watching the news and sees the mugshots of the two mental patients on tv, a reflection of light hits the screen just as Michael's mugshot appears, and he can hardly make out the features.

Is that what the movie was trying to convey when Michael's mugshot went out of focus?

There's a reference in the book to a place called White Horse Pizza.

It's gotta be.

The reason Tivoli, the other mental patient, was locked up is because he murdered both his parents with rope after years of being abused and tortured by them with rope.

Re-watched Halloween Kills. On my first initial viewing I thought some of the scenes of this movie were... Fine to say the least and I was interested in making a fan cut that removed the filler and got down to the important stuff, upon second viewing this movie is unsalvageable and has killed any sort of interest I had in Ends, doesn't help that they're doing a 4 year timeskip with that and making Halloween 3 canon lol
