New one is going to be a complete reboot featuring Michelle Myers for max #girlboss power. And she'll be a troon, because they'll convince themselves the new Hellraiser is a success.

Such as this one: https://maniac1962.blogspot.com/2019/01/halloween-mass-killings.htmlYeah there are fan edits out there that trim the dumb hospital shit and it makes for a really decent movie
Yeah and it didn't help that Ends was delayed and the entire story of it was changed due to covid, which then became some pretentious movie. Honestly I'm glad they didn't take the route where they were going to use covid social commentary.I get the vibe they intended 2018 to be a one and done, but got offered too much money to make sequels and then it was a real case of "oh shit, now what?" since they already blew their load with the 2018 movie.
At least if you really hate the sequels you can just pretend that 2018 is the last one and Michael burned to death.
Does anyone get the vibe though that with the character of Corey, they're introducing the idea that though Michael may be gone, the town of Haddonfield itself is cursed or something and a new killer may pop up for future Halloween films?
Torrent that shit. Seriously dude it's that bad.Ends sounds fucking offer. I don't know if I want to even see it
Nope. He just magic's away and hides in a sewer and has gotten incredibly weak to where the sidekick needs to help him.It does sound like Kills was supposed to be the ending, with sequel cash forcing the dumb ending where Michael just gets up and walks away. Probably too much logic to ask for, but does Ends address why the cops never went after Michael?
limitless potential thereDid you wish Jason was your dad when you were growing up?

Except that the whole idea of the evil never going away and taking a different shape was done a million+1 times better in the ending for Halloween 4.With the new character it was part of some pretentious speech about how evil will never die and changes shape because the writers act like they are making high art. Though with the cursed thing it's really stupid since I said before, the 2018 movie had the town just be a normal ass town and people were acting realistic. Whereas Kills and Ends made the town full of dumb lunatics who make weird speeches
Halloween, Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th are all movies that should've never gotten more than one sequel. Good movies don't ever come from singlemindedly focusing on box office greed. It feels like the very end of Ends really was written for Kills but then they realized 'Oh, shit, forgot, we have a third movie to go through'. And another exec, who had a script for a Lifetime Rebel without a Cause without an ending popped in and went 'Hey, guys, what's going on?'
The worst sin of the movie is not that it's awful. It's... not. Not in the traditional sense. The acting is ranges from passable to good (except for the incel mother) with a few mediocre small characters here and there, cinematography is very good, as far as technical aspects it's not awfully bad. The problem is that it's awfully boring. It's just so fucking boring for so long. If there had been any other title attached to it, and it had been a random killer instead of Michael, it would have been a meh movie, most reviews would go 'Goes on far too long at first, but really decent kills toward the end.' and it'd get a bunch of 5s and 6s as far as scores go.
The problem is, the script is pure shit for a Halloween movie.
Halloween, and other slashers, have established the perfect recipe: First, start with a kill/death. Next 35-45 minutes you build up your characters and your suspense, maybe throw in one or two early deaths as a result. Not too much, make it wait. Then about 45 minutes in, all hell breaks fucking loose. Here, it takes AN HOUR AND A HALF for that to happen.
And it's not like it gets fucking insane like some other movies, where you have a slow burn until it explodes and it goes crazy until the very fucking end. Nope. You get murders for like 10-15 minutes, final showdown, and that's it. Aside from the DJ, none of them memorable either.
Halloween Ends is supposed to be the 2 hours trilogy capping, 40 year in the making series finale of Michael Myers that builds up to like less than 20 minutes of actual Michael Myers on the screen, the rest of it being about some fucking incel weirdo we've never seen dating Laurie's grand-daughter.
I mean it could have been kind of forgivable if the plot had centered around Laurie herself, you'd get why they did that. Instead, she's also barely in it, when she is she's mostly moping, and then she kills Michael in a really shitty fight in some kind of mock crucifixion, with a shitty monologue before finishing him off? Said dialogue she recites as she finishes him off including fucking flashbacks to earlier movies? Fuck off, film.
Having her kill him and then no dialogue, just a fucking primal fucking scream would have been better, and enough. Not whatever the fuck that was.
Then a fucking parade, chucking his body in the woodchipper, and finishing with fucking Don't Fear the Repear.
Fuck off forever, ghaddafi's anal death/10.
Don't remake older horror movies anymore, just start new IPs and stop raping the corpses of even shittier franchises like Halloween.
Exactly, it’s just the writers of this film and Kills act like they are doing deep psychological analysis and sniffing their own farts. Halloween 4 had a great ending even if the movie wasn’t that great because of the simple terror. It’s more impactful than random incel man starting a killing spree because he was bulliedExcept that the whole idea of the evil never going away and taking a different shape was done a million+1 times better in the ending for Halloween 4.
I half agree. I think Elm Street and Friday the 13th reached their natural conclusion with Freddy VS Jason.Halloween, Terminator, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Friday the 13th are all movies that should've never gotten more than two installments. Good movies don't evercome from singlemindedly focusing on box office greed.
I find doing a sequel for either too wouldn't have made since after Freddy vs Jason. Hence way the reboots that came afterwords were fine to me not being sequels. Since you can't top that movie for horror fansI half agree. I think Elm Street and Friday the 13th reached their natural conclusion with Freddy VS Jason.
Unless/until they do Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash.Since you can't top that movie for horror fans
How would they do that? Bruce Campbell is too old and if they got someone else, fans would revolt.Unless/until they do Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash.
Probably have to make it animated. I generally hate comics and comic adaptations, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing an animated one of it so long as they do it well. How would they do that? Bruce Campbell is too old and if they got someone else, fans would revolt.
Glad to see you made it back from the Pet Sematary. Watch out for trucks next time.Well it's been a while since i posted here, I left for...reasons.
I'm just gonna keep things simple and hopefully something we can all agree with and wish the movie Silver Bullet a happy 37th birthday, released today October 11th, 1985.

yeah, it's not _good_ but it has a lot of nice elementsWell, I'm up to date on my Halloween boosters so far.
3) Attack of the Giant Leeches (1959) - A bit better than I expected. The monsters are cool and the human bits are halfway watchable.
yeah X was about what you would hope for from "Jason In Space"God I hope they never do that to Jason. I do agree I’ll take Jason being on ice over what they did to Myers. Honestly I liked X. At least it knew it was a shitty movie.
you can throw ytdl at tubi tooIf you're looking for good shit I'd recommend Tubi. Tons of good shit on there for free and if you watch on your desktop with an adblocker there's no ads.
