Anyone watch Glorious yet?

That's going to be a no from me, sir.

A man (Sookie's brother from True Blood) stops to take a piss at a rest stop. He finds a gloryhole. Turns out the gloryhole is inhabited by a Lovecraftian horror voiced by JK Simmons. The only way to get out of the bathroom and save the universe? Stick his dick in the hole. There are tentacles involved.

Fuck it I don't even know how I waited 24 hours I'm starting it now.

Gave Glorious 26 mins of my important time cake.

General impressions: smug, unfunny.

And that’s ignoring the OZ gay nazi rapist larping in the toilets.

I've been starting to prep for the Halloween season by gathering up movies to watch, and I wanted to ask here if anyone had recommendations for good Japanese horror, particularly ones of the more gothic or slasher variety that really fit the season. I already have the various Go Nagai live action works (Welcome to the Vampire Onsen, Scary Zone, etc.), Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell, Evil Dead Trap 1-2, and the Bloodthirsty Trilogy on my list, but am looking for more.
One of my favourite Japanese movies is Kwaidan (1965). It's based off a book with the same name on ghost stories and folklore translated from old texts.
Jukai Mura / Suicide Forest Village and Inunaki mura / Howling Village are also about legends. Highly recommended.
Hausu is peak Japanese. If you enjoy weird stuff like that and want to go even further you might be into Tokyo Gore Police as well.
The Tomie movies as far as I have seen are good. I've seen Another Face, Forbidden Fruit, Revenge and enjoyed them all. Only the first film and Beginning are connected so you don't have to worry about a plot stretching several films.
And of course the classics Battle Royale and Ichi the Killer.

Recently I have been binging Asian horrors and I really like the Whispering Corridors series. They're simple ghost stories set in an all girls high school. The wikipedia page mentions gay relationships but it doesn't feel like a major aspect and isn't shoved in your face at all like a Western movie would do. Unless you absolutely despise lesbians you might not like it but it's so mild you could write it off as the girls being really good friends.
Geomeun Sajedeul / The Priests (2015) was a decent exorcism film.
The Sadness (2021) is basically pure gore. It's based off the Crossed comics so if you're into torture porn you will most definitely like it.

Lastly, has anyone seen Raw (2016)? I've never heard anyone talk about it but it's up there with weird horror movies. It's a bizzare coming-of-age story focused on a vegan girl in a veterinary school. (Of course something like this was made by the French.) It's not bad just very different from anything I have seen. Wondering if anyone else has watched it and had any thoughts on it.

Raw is a well-made horror movie. It had decent acting and I love the concept behind it. I was disappointed with the ending, however.

Just watched Orphan: First Kill.

It was... it was good, lol. I was expecting a complete different movie and I got pleasantly surprised.

Finishing the Gates of Hell trilogy and god that kid was fucking annoying. Definitely the weakest in the trilogy but it the first two are such a tough act to follow anyway. Still, not enough eye trauma.

Any thoughts on the "It" movie, specifically the 2nd part? "It" is too generic a title to properly search for threads, and the only thread here is solely about the first film and the miniseries.

I was a bit disappointed at the lack of the Turtle or the greater universe of King's work. Pennywise as just a puppet of a generic alien from space isn't nearly as interesting as being a literal Lovecraftian eldritch horror.

For the most part I went into the film blind. I haven't read the book and barely recall anything from the first film and show - besides the goofy dinner scene - so maybe I missed what the clown alien was allowed to do to you / rules he's bound by.
There were some ok spooks, which of course were accompanied by loud sounds. I found it rather dull and frustrating with how many times the clown had the chance to kill / hurt a child but only gave them a good fright and let them go. It had great child actors, which is always a nice surprise.
An adequate modern horror movie is how I came out of it.

And thankfully no underage orgy!
