The question will be if it's as big a grift as the The Last Of Us Part 1. 're-remaster' where they apparently barely did anything and are charging full price as if it were a new game.

Can't wait until they decide they need to reboot, too.

Oh they are gonna fuck up her beautiful hair with the new engine aren't they?

I'm not really opposed to graphical re-releases if that's all it is. It's not like there's actual jumps in how games are designed or materially function between console generations anymore. If anyone's dumb enough to buy it again when they've already played it before that's kind of their problem.

most likely all they gonna do is trying to sell it as a $70 game, just with settings set to high instead of medium. the game is 5 years old, how out of date can it be graphically and technically?

Not very but that's also an argument for why it wouldn't be upsetting to pay full-price if I were playing it for the first time now; the game holds up. It's not really a downside if they weren't going to update it for free.
Especially as a PS5 owner where there's fuck-all to spend my money on anyway.

I'm not enthusiastically fer it, I'm just indifferent even though Dunkey recently memed about it so it's a hivemind opinion currently. Unless they remove the old version from sale which is objectively a cunt move, but that's also partly why I forked out for the disc version of the console and another thing that's kind of your own fault if someone didn't anticipate it.

My guess it's a director's cut like Ghost of. Same game but higher graphics settings (the PC version has higher stuff), some stuff for trigger feedback and shorter loading times. All together on a PS5 disc. Not a whole remake like tlou1.
Ghosts was at least entertaining, so I could see at least some people wanting a director's cut. I can't imagine there's enough people out there who care, let alone remember this game, enough to bother buying it again.

enough to bother buying it again
Well that's the point of a DC (if it is like Ghost). The ones that never played can straight buy the PS5 version, fans can upgrade for 10 or 20 bucks and hardcore fans buy it again for full price to have the ps5 case. The development of these kind of DCs cost next to nothing. Zero Dawn has sold millions, there are some fans at least.

Wasn't this game bundled with a few other games as part of a PS4 pack? I'm not saying nobody bought it, but if it comes with the system are you really buying the game?

Yes some time after the release. But it was no PS5 situation back then, you could easily buy a PS4 without a game. It was just a cheap bundle.
On the other side it launched 3 years later on steam with 700k sales in it's first few weeks (at full price).
20 million sold and sure a lot through the bundle and many millions at 20$ sale and etc. But looking at numbers and saying it has no fans is weird to me.

I'm not saying it didn't have fans, I'm saying I don't think it's as popular as Sony wants it to be and this remaster is time and money that could be better spent on literally anything else.

It sold more than Ghost. You claimed Ghost DC made more sense because it's more entertaining (to you). In my opinion the numbers are better indicator than your and mine opinion of the game.

It sold more than Ghost.
You mean a game released for two consoles sold more than a game released for one?

Edit:
Zero Dawn only has a PS4 version and a PS5 patch, Ghosts has a PS4 version and a native PS5 version.
I thought you just said it (HZD) released on steam too?
