So far I like the game a lot, but the soundtrack is disappointing.
In the first game there were so many memorable moments accompanied by great songs, and in silksong it seems to blend into the background.
Where is the dung defender theme 2.0 damnit?

There's a boss that has a pretty good theme.

So the problem with Silksong is they're "trying something different", and when you're "trying something different" from perfection, the result is ass.
I'm not joking when I say that you should get tested for autism.
Spending a whole paragraph sperging about the new map bug that shows up sometimes and sings and saying shit like "I am a 4th generation atheist" is not normal, man.

It's perfectly valid to not enjoy this game. I have some issues with it myself, like the economy, the benches are too far apart which results in a lot of wasted time, etc.
But most of the reasons you bring up are just complete ass. It really seems like you just woke up intended on hating the game for not being Hollow Knight 1 again.

I overall enjoy the soundtrack, but I agree it is not as memorable, but not because the soundtrack is weak, its mostly because there haven't been impactful bosses so far. Most of them have been fairly easy and forgettable. So like you said, I haven't found any "Dung Defender" cool boss with a cool accompanying soundtrack moment.

This is the boss who's soundtrack I enjoyed alot of anyone is interested. But I'm biased and enjoy violins

Finally beat the gauntlet after like 2 hours, you can't even pogo like I thought you can because the other enemy can jump into you. The solution was chucking all the mines into the spawn point of one of the duos that seemingly do random damage since the first time it didn't kill it and second time it did and I was able to finish. Now in act 2 final boss.

Still no double jump, though I'm pretty sure you get it in act 3 along the ability to withstand cold and the direction to the cloud maze.

The more I play the more I find things wrong with it. All the enemy gauntlets are not fun yet the game has several times them rather than bosses.

Oh and to get the needle upgrade, one of the items you need has to be carried the entire map without getting hit more than 6 times.

Well fuck, I got stuck.

I broke through the assrape area. The place beyond was easy and fun, I found a useful item, I found part of a useful item. Thought I'd been wrong and the game was actually very well designed, one thing I miss in modern games (including Hollow Knight) is difficulty spikes where you have to survive, get out, and come back later, instead of methodically destroying everything.

One thing it lacked? A travel point. Now I can't go back. I have all the money in the world and I can't go back.

The game has autosaves. I'm on 8 hours 10 minutes. The last autosave when I'm not stuck is 4 hours 3 minutes in. Fuck this shit, I think that's enough time wasted, I'll wait for a trainer. The game by now cost me $130, pure AAA wallet molestation.

It seems Chinese players aren't happy with Silksong. Crippling Sino-autism or bots, or both? You be the judge.

This war on diversity has gone full retard very fast.
Was anything I said untrue? The Knight looks like a boy.
most people don't take cut dialogue as canon, since you know, it was cut
Sure but I never got the impression it was totally devoid of personality. It seems to help people of its own volition, and you can make some different choices to get different endings, no?

I assume they are confused as to why the bugs are creating societies and doing things that don't involve being dipped in hot oil and eaten by a chinaman.

lol Chinese bugmen mad at bug game is pretty funny. I do kinda wonder what the English equivalent of a Wuxia novel would be so I could understand the context better.

ETA: did a Google search.

lmao I dunno what's wrong with the Chinese because a bug version of DBZ sounds fucking hilarious.

According to a video I seen in Youtube,
In one ending Chibi Knight shows up briefly to help Hornet, so he remembers her and goes out of his way to rescue his sibling. That has to count as intentionally acting out of love as that ending implies that the good ending of HK1 is canon, so the Void has no reason to do anything else, unless the Chibi Knight acted on his own.

Greymoor is more stressful than pretty much any Hollow Knight 1 area except for the very late game areas.

I haven't even tried Hunter's March except for a little bit to rescue the flea pup whatever thing.

I get that the game is hard but come the fuck on, just git gud.

Got to the High Halls and have been trying out the boss there for at least thirty to forty minutes, god I hate enemy rushes so much, especially when it's full of some of the worst enemies in the game (so far, since this is only Act 2)
If only more bosses were like Lace, Widow, Last Judge (though this one has a long runback with annoying platforming), and Cogwork Dancers, all of those were incredibly fun but the rest of the bosses get dragged down by having a billion little shits taking up arena space, long runbacks, double damage when it feels like it shouldn't, or a combination of the above (Savage Beastfly has all three, and very early in the game, fuck this thing in particular)

I don't like the Crest system. It was far better when you could customise your moves by pins rather than this "all or nothing" system that fucks with your platforming. Maybe if you could get passives.

Also wonder if I fucked myself out of some side quests by advancing the plot too quickly since the base town is now empty and I had one quest I didn't finish there until now. One more similar point to Elden Ring DLC.

LIke I written in my post, spam the mine at the last enemy location and hope to god it kills one of them. The only alternative is to try to herd them around the tiny arena but that's very RNG dependent.

Anyone found the last two dishes for the oil (in the bottom)? My guess is one is probably from the bug who wants purple flowers, the other might be from the flea circus if you rescue enough of them.

I do kinda wonder what the English equivalent of a Wuxia novel
This might mean one of the two things (not enough context in the article):

(1)Overt Sinicization in the translation, with excessive use of terms and language specific for Chinese martial arts stories.

(2)Translation is extremely dry, and reads like an average Wuxia web novel of today.
