He did put snow in his mouth (to hide the condensation of exhaling) but he used iron sights rather than scopes to have a lower profile.

Image tax: another picture of him smiling. This has to be one of the most cheerful guys of all time. He even smiled after he had half his head blown off, after having over 500 confirmed kills, and that's just confirmed, as in it's a proven fact he killed them. He probably had a lot more.

And after getting his head nearly blown off, he still lived to 96 years old. And taught sniping for much of that.

This is easily one of the baddest motherfuckers who ever lived.
The Soviets were calling artillery strikes on him specifically that failed to kill him. The bullet that got him in the face was an explosive one, and even that wasn’t enough to put him down. The day after he regained consciousness, the war ended.

A video of Weezer recording the unreleased song "Superfriend" as part of the Songs from the Black Hole project. After the success of The Blue Album, and a world tour, Rivers Cuomo became very disenchanted with the stardom it brought, and sought to create a rock opera which reflected this. Songs from the Black Hole would have been a rock opera about 4 astronauts on their way into space to save Earth, only to have their mission compromised, and their personal relationships ruined. Despite writing and recording over 20 songs and producing 2 tracklists for the album, Rivers abruptly cancelled the project in favor of Pinkerton, their second album.

Fans of the band liken its cancellation to The Beach Boy's SMiLE, one of the greatest albums never released; due to its scope, quality of bootlegs, and the difference in quality to their post Pinkerton output.

The song Superfriend in particular has been singled out as a favorite of tracks recorded for the album, and this video (master since destroyed, only snippets of the recording are available) gives fans hope that a master copy of Weezer performing the entire project in full exists. (The full project can be heard from River's Alone series of demos, although most are home recordings of Rivers alone--hence the title)

In 2023 Rivers posted on discord with interest in making Songs from the Black Hole Weezer's next album, although due to his shaky relationship with material from this era, it's hard to know if he was earnest

Joan Crawford meeting Queen Elizabeth, October 29, 1956. It's disputed that Crawford gave the Queen a "side eye" then. I don't believe it. And even if she did, it's Joan Crawford.

A discontinued but vintage Japanese magazine that was showing awareness to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas back in 2005
I don't know what platform Continue was for, but San Andreas came out in 2004. Also the GTA series were the biggest games in the world at the time, so it was less showing awareness to, more like getting any possible new info

Giving The Queen a "side eye" back then could have ended your career, so I doubt she did. Hell, The Beatles getting MBEs at the time was hugely controversial, as they were reserved for military honors or lifetime recognitions for civic achievements; people actually returned their knighthoods in protest. Now, they dole them out for the flavors of the week each year.
