Crazy mixed bag today, kiwis. Pretty nice highs, but pretty sad lows.
I got into the chorus I auditioned for! I sang and people picked me! (despite my training, this is still kind of a novelty since nerves usually fuck up my auditioning really badly) I now have something musical to do this summer, on top of whatever else happens. I'm also leaving in a week to go to the UK for a couple of months to be with my boyfriend. This is also very nice and I'm getting pretty psyched for it.
Shitty family situation. I've talked a little about this in the Coping thread a little before, but it's looking like in order for one of my family members to change for the better (alcoholism and 7 years of unemployment from not giving a damn) , he's going to have to leave home for awhile.

Same old for any Wednesday aside from being hyped for this Saturday. Me and my close friend are going to New Jersey to see The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I can't wait to see it since its pretty much the Berlin version with some changes. Seriously, why can't Saturday come quick?

Edit: I be sure to mention my experience on Saturday here, or make a thread about it in this section.

GUYS MY MIND HAS BEEN BLOWN

i'll get photos sometime soon, but see, we have this newish ferret who's a real fluffmonster with big feet and lots of hair and violence.

so much violence.

named marley. very big, violent, fluffy ferret.

well, it seems that marley may in fact be a marlene.

after...7-8 previous ferrets, we're just now realizing that this colossal ball of violent fluff might be a girl

it's a bit mind-blowing.

so wow.

A FEMALE FRIEND I HAVE FEELINGS FOR IS COMING OVER TO MY APARTMENT TONIGHT OH SHIT OH FUCK OH SHIT OH FUCK

spaghetti is imminent

Speaking of female friends...

Yesterday, I was working with the girl I really liked. I decided to be a bit more bold and told her that she looked nice. She thanked me for that.

Later, I was in the porter closet with one of the guys I worked with and decided to ask him for advice about the whole thing. Something I usually don't do with people outside my family. I asked him what I was supposed to do if the girl I liked worked with me, as I can't really get into a very deep conversation during our shift for obvious reasons. He was thinking about this for a bit and then told me to take things slow and start out as friends and perhaps hang out casually.

Later into my shift, I decided to take my ten and, as luck would have it, she was in the break room as well. I felt excited as this was my chance to actually talk to her about stuff. So, after a couple of minutes, I decided to ask her how her day was and went from there.

Unfortunately, our conversation didn't last long as she had to take some things to the sales office. She told me she would be right back. But unfortunately, she took too long and I had to get back to work. (:_(

So yeah, while I didn't quite get to talk to her as much as I wanted, I did feel kind of good about opening myself up a little to other people. Whether it be girls or other guys. So I'll consider it all a small victory.

Lost my k-card last night. Granted, we were both pretty fucked up at the time (I moreso than her), but it was pretty magical from what I can remember. We both fell asleep cuddling on the couch. I feel like my heart's crossed a threshold here, although I'm not so sure she feels the same way. A lot of it probably has to do with me never having been in a relationship while she's had a lot of experience. She clearly does like me a lot, though. Overall, pretty great night.

On a less positive note, hearing one of my best friends admitting to using oxycontin multiple times and saying he's willing to try any drug (no longer with the "no hard stuff" caveat) makes me pretty distressed. He just has no idea what he's getting into.

Guys, I got to walk today.

That sounds really stupid, but I've had meningitis for the past two months. Every single one of those days has pretty much been me, lying on the bed, feeling completely useless because I couldn't even stand up for any period of time without a splitting migraine.

I got to walk today, and work, and talk to people. I got to ride the subway and be annoyed at its lateness. I got to go get food without worrying about how long I had until my head would force me to lie down somewhere. It was pretty fantastic.

Walking is really underrated, guys.

I unexpectedly ran into a friend I had a falling out with three years ago. I had zero idea he was going to be in town and nearly spit out my coffee when he came in to say hi to me and another friend at Starbucks. I apologized over what happened again and everything is good now. He even laughed because he was surprised I was still beating myself up.

Man, that felt good.

So I let my sister borrow my Nintendo Wii, and now the sensor bar is broken. Goddamn it, all my toys are breaking. Can't have my computer, can't have my Wii.

Have you tried playing the game of Life? It takes place outdoors. :tomgirl:

(PS- just messin with you)

I'm starting to get the harder side of math and I'm slowly getting my way around it. I finished up part one of my long review/analysis on the Hunchback musical. I sent it to a fan site that is up to date with the recent news. I can't wait to see how people respond to it.

I'm pretty happy that I found out I got a C on my last statistics exam. Sure, my overall grade is at a C but looking in the long run, as long as I keep it at that or better, I can pass the class.

Today, I needed to explain to the girl next to me the utility of the command Ping... We are students in IT...

Apparently I'm going to be eligible to download that 0-cost stock trading app Robinhood tomorrow. Not sure how much to invest, or what to invest in.

Just had a statistics quiz today. I really need to make sure I know about all these formula's since 1) I'm have a C and anything lower than C on quizzes and exams can most likely hurt my grade. Also, can't wait to finish the CIS class I have since it would be the last day for it (It's fast track so that means only half the semester is needed for it). Don't have to do a final since its take home and I already finished it.
