Mid July! And it's a girl. I already find myself turning into a big softie because of it. Because of the long distance between me and my fiancée, we currently only see each other through Skype. Every day I see her belly grow a bit bigger, and every night before she goes to sleep I talk to the baby. She get's very responsive when she hears me voice, always kicking whenever I talk to her.

It's an amazing thing and it really pains me that I cannot be there to see her develop. I'll be there for the birth and onwards, and I am now planning everything for the future. Another two and a half months and I'll hold the little thing for the first time! Most exciting thing ever.

Awww! So so cute! Congratulations! :)

You should invite every friend of yours, so you and your future wive can yell to the heavens:

HEY EVERYONE! WE'RE EXECPTING!

Seriously though, it's incredibly cool to hear that you got a kid coming soon! And good luck with that bureocracy shit. No one needs to deal with that bullcrap.

Today I learned why you never, ever, ever, browse CWCKI forums while at work. After like, three hours of reading old lolcow threads, I was making a customer (my only customer of the afternoon) a drink.......and I accidentally asked him if he would like "more or less Autism", in his martini.
Can I get a Long Island Iced 'Tism?
(No that's actually a spectacular story though.)

Still sick with the flu.

Today, I called the dealership to find out if my part for my car has arrived yet (its been like 6 weeks since it broke and I've had to leave it on the dirt road because moving it may further damage the axel) and guess what. Apparently, the part arrived but the invoice was sent as a different shipment (What the fuck? Is this even legal?) and so, the part is here, on this island, but the receipt is still in Nassau (the capital city of the Bahamas, and biggest in the country).

So now thats gonna be ANOTHER week with my car still broken.

I just did part one of my moving adventure. I drove about 17 hours north to visit friends and help my parents with some crap. Man was not meant to drive so far with no cruise control!

I also have it on good authority that Satan Jr. is going to be a kick ass baby. ;)

Not entirely sure my job interview today was worth the time and effort. It definitely isn't in my top 5 choices at the moment and while I'm 99% sure they're going to give me an offer, I'm only about 40% sure I want to take it.

A super sweet friend of mine just sent me a Humble Bundle package containing The Walking Dead game. :heart-full: Currently downloading it.

Had someone not been stopped from using a gas powered stick welder inside today, I and everyone else at my work might have died of carbon monoxide.

^ wow. just...damn

but always appreciate times like these just to show how fragile life is.

anyway it's been pretty dull around here. got an assignment tomorrow, and filling in the gaps with fallout 3. fun.

Stressing out over finals next week and scrambling to get my writing samples together for a really promising job interview I have on Friday (yeah, it's the one I might have mentioned earlier). Don't really know what the company is expecting from the samples or what programs they use to make their manuals (it varies from company to company, there is really no industry standard) because so far my only contact has been with the staffing agency that set this up.

Right now I'm reformatting and revising an old sample and after that....school shit. (:_(

I'm so sick of people telling me to network. I mean, its like, "let me go bother people who don't know or give a damn about me."

Yeah that always seemed like a waste of time to me. I did email my old boss yesterday and had him send me one of my old writing samples, so I guess that counts as networking. Every job I've ever had came about from either a job fair, a staffing agency, or an online application (the fortune 500 company I used to write manuals was an online application, so blow that "apply in person" garbage out of your ass...maybe that works for shitty service industry jobs, I wouldn't know). And I've had quite a few jobs.

Networking is just an inane buzzword created by the glorified salesmen/telemarketers who not only take advantage of the shitty job market like the vultures they are, but prey on destitute and desperate people who have been victimized by the giant mess that is our economy. These are the same people who try to get people to pay like $80 to have their resume tweaked by a "professional" writer, it's ridiculous.

Idk, I didn't think the networking was so much bothering people you don't know. I think the key is just showing genuine interest in what they have to say and being able to ask questions without making yourself sound desperate or annoying to them, which shouldn't be that hard. I mean hey, you have to be able to have someone to put in a good word for you in order to get your foot in the door. Though my reasoning is based mostly off of what I've gathered from college lectures from my professors and visitors, so don't take my word for it. Speaking of college...

I have a little over a week left and my first year of college is over. I made the dean's list last semester, and I expect that I'll make it again this one too. I've been doing pretty well with my classes. I'm looking forward to the summer when my best friend returns from his college classes from out of town. So things are really looking up for me :)

At long, long, long, long last, I have the part needed for my car. Good thing because I'm thinking everyone is tired of passing by it, there's only like 500 people living on the island (and trust me, thats a small number for a small island).

I went right ahead and phone called the man who'll be fixing it, he said he should have it ready for Saturday!
