Spring break was pretty relaxing, but I let my laziness get the best of me and didn't do any of my work. I still have an online midterm to take, a movie to watch and review, and a 3-page pager. But I can probably bang them all out by tomorrow. Least, I have a few more days until the paper is due.

First full day of spring break. I'm back from school with my family and haven't really done anything. I'm fine with that.

Unfortunately, I still have a fair amount to do to prepare for my senior recital on the 30th. Got songs to solidify, a hair place to find and contact, a program to print, and some shoes/jewelry to find that compliment my dress. Typical last minuting for me, but nerve-wracking. If I was nervous for my junior recital, then what I'm feeling about this recital makes whatever I felt then seem miniscule. Thankfully, it's mixed with a feeling of resignation, which takes the edge off.

Also been trying to figure out where I go from here with my performance degree. Strongly considering getting certification in music therapy, but I have to do a little more research first.

I wish my original belief that I would know which direction to take after college graduation was actually true. I guess the bright side is I'm a lot more mellow about it than I have been over the last year.

Did not get to sleep until sometime after 3 in the morning. Someone, please club me over the head until I go back to sleep.

Spring break still hasn't begun for me. My online class has work due on Monday and I need to write a paper about a book I've barely read. Let's read the Amazon book reviews to "research" that book I haven't really read shall we?

really, really distracted and blank inside, but still feeling obligated to do stuff.

I tried sushi for the first time. Sushi kicks ass.

And I also tried welding for the first time, along with finishing Duke Nukem 3D on Come Get Some difficulty. (Hard)

So 10 days after I get my car fixed, another fuck up happens. I was riding around the island like I do every morning to help me wake up, and just after I'm at the end of the hill going down, a big pop happens. I cannot remember what happened immediately after, but I had successfully hit the brakes and didn't hit any oncoming car or golf cart. But even though the engine seems to still be working, the car cannot move at all. Of course, I'm all shaken up now. I didn't even have my seatbelt on (because you really don't need one on such a place and there's nobody around to enforces seatbelt laws) so obviously I could have been killed. I was really lucky the whole thing turned out the way it did.

Anyway, what actually happened was my right steering tires "CV Joint" broke. For a long time, you'd hear a clicking noise coming from the right steering, my buddy who fixed my tires said that was what it sounding like, but he didn't think it'd be breaking as it did so soon. I managed to pull my car up to the grounds of the resort I work at thanks to my groundskeeper coworkers. For a Sunday, I was so worried I wouldn't find anyone to tow it and the car would have to be left in the middle of the road during Spring Break on a vacation island.

I am so thankful everything's okay, and that I'm okay.

I remember eating sushi for the first time. It sucked.

Anyone here are having or had a professionalization course? I am having an Administration course for the next two years. It is one of the extracurricular things after school that I actually enjoy, since it is fun and it will help in the future when I go look for a job. I also take public transportation to go to the school that the course is located, which I believe is alright, except when it is overcrowded, which thankfully I am able to miss most of the time.

One thing I was asked to do last week is to show to the class a company jingle. And, well, sing. Not sure how well it will help in the job market, but I can deal with it.

Sushi is very variable depending on who makes it and what you get. California rolls and Alaska rolls and other Americanized dishes are almost universally palatable if you like fish, but more authentic Japanese stuff (like cold octopus and things that you can't readily identify) can be much more of an acquired taste.

I mostly like Americanized sushi but I really like Octopus.

Well, despite my recent setback, I'm determined to enjoy my day off tomorrow, which I surprisingly got. Taking the noon ferry to the island and I'm gonna "play tourist" as us locals call it. I mean, the car ISN'T getting fixed tomorrow, here on the islands, it takes time for parts to get here. So the order will be placed and I'll be enjoying the beaches with my igloo cooler filled with cream, Kahlua, Banana Rum, a couple cigars, and hopefully a lot of fluorescent colored tops and bottoms all over the beach. It is Spring Break after all. If not, I'll go to the North End beach.

Either way, I'm enjoying myself tomorrow.

My sister broke up with her fiance just now.

Really heavy stuff, they were together for a year and now she has to move out of his house.

Finished the training at my new job, so I'm now a full-fledged employee.

I'm a little concerned about my car, though. I've noticed a strange clicking noise coming from the engine when it's warmed up and idling, and my checks haven't turned up anything obvious. I'm worried it's going to blow up before I can sell it. At this point, I'd like nothing more than to foist its problems off on someone else and buy myself something more economical and less ridiculously rare, but I have no idea what I'll get for it, and the money in my bank isn't enough to buy anything more than some old clunker. So for the time being, I'm running on a wing and a prayer.

I'm actually preparing to do a parody video about DSP as me being DerpSillyHolmes "unboxing" a webcam "box". XD It's going to be fun!
