Have hellpods penetrate caves or something (make up some bullshit lore) so people can spawn properly and that would fix it.
Just say that the new, more-potent E-710 taken from the Gloom worlds improved our fuel quality, so now pods can punch through the upper layer of the ladscapes if needed.

Dropping in resupplies, allies and equipment would make things a lot more fun, but still keeping the challenge of no stratagems.

I feel like the openings need to be a little bit more consistent. For the Spore Lung mission I had the portable hellbomb land on a lip of cave and not hit the floor when I was sure it was out in the open. It seems like when you're near the entrance (the actual exterior openings) they have a failsafe where stuff will land further than the beacon sometimes, so why not have support pods land similarly in the roof openings?

As for the Dragonroach it's insufferable and you're basically required to bring a rail cannon strike because a Spear won't one shot it without extreme luck, and waiting for it to stand still to reliably hit it with any other rocket means it's already spewing. Autocannons can work and I was able to lead somewhat reliably but I think the wings take way more punishment than they should. You'd think like Shriekers they're a somewhat decent health pool but the easier target so it'll crash and die. We played on 7 and it was still insanely tough, but then 6 felt "tough" yet lacking something outside of extraction where it felt like an endless swarm.

Of the new missions I liked the GATER fuel extract one the most. The GATER is slow and awkward as hell to not have get stuck on geometry, but the one we played was all above ground besides a side objective so we weren't getting fucked by burrowers indoors.

Yeah not spawning near teammates is a big problem. One death sets off a chain reaction where the whole team is out of sync because respawners have to travel to Mordor and back just to rejoin their teammates. If gears of war could do It they can to

I think it should be an upgrade for the hellpods
>new ship upgrades to actually spend resources on

I'm Reserving my judgment on the difficulty of the new content untill they fix the performance of the game.
Currently if you host a game enemies aggro on you x4 as much as other players. For example the burrowing warrior bugs are almost unavoidable damage when they spring out of the ground but if your not the host they are more lenient. Also hellpods are not dropping where your beacon is thrown making things get stuck on cliffs next to the caves.

The whole point of the update was to challenge players by not having access to things in the caves. Having a ship upgrade that just let's you ignore the fact you're in a cave is retarded. I could maybe understand an upgrade JUST for reinforcements but beyond that trivializes it. Im actually using mechs now because I can walk them down in there and destroy everything and using my brain for once on what my loadout should be.

IMO the frustrations people are having are more likely to do with the new enemies being overtuned while I think the actual environment has been the fun part of the update

I played a couple more d10 missions - the new burrowers are pretty much a weapon check to make sure someone is carrying the crossbow. If you use it, it trivializes them completely.

Exosuits are really great for the caves, becoming almost a necessity.

The Roach is a good boss that needs its spray attack fixed to get rid of the desync between where the spew happens and where it actually lands. Otherwise it's great.

Cave generation is garbage. Lot of times there are floors that have no collision so you just fall into the pit and die. Exosuits get stuck when they shouldn't. But when the layout works, it's really fun.

Hive Lords are still terrible. I expect within the week the hype will die and everyone will be begging for nerfs or reworks. It's just a near-instakill environmental hazard that makes doing anything outdoors a slog and not worth it. If you're doing the oil rig mission then you might as well requeue when one shows up.

Im gonna level with ya i dont think its hard enough for my taste
Bad design being unfairly difficult and good design being fairly difficult are two different things that filter retards and redditors a lot.
God Hand is hard as hell but extremely fair. God Hand is also one of the tightest designed games ever made. Whatever the fuck this is is difficult because it's very poorly thought out and implemented and whatever design there is feels deliberately annoying.

Ngl I miss the music from HD1. It had a very sci-fi feel to all of it, no matter the front.
I like the music when dropping from the destroyer, I've had the music turned fully off for about 2 months now though in a vain attempt to try to hear the silent bastards sneaking up on me.

Honestly, just get a mod.

I've had charger sound mods installed for like a year now, it's the only way to actually hear them.

The giant worm should not be able to spawn on the GATER missions. It's the only mission you can lose if the objective is destroyed, and the worm can one-shot it. It also should be a mission modifier like the Leviathans because you can never know if it's actually going to spawn or not, so if you take something like the AT emplacement to better deal with it, you may just not have it spawn at all.

Also, to preempt the arguments of it being a map hazard, it chases you around. It's hard to avoid a map hazard that follows you.

You can actually fail the nuke missions also so I imagine a hive Lord in that mission would screw you over too

I have it turned off because I got tired of the soundtrack.
