The 'public case' the posted yesterday I've already mentioned is an atrocious strike against them in my opinion. I sat down this morning and in 4 Google searches I had all of the dox on the victim of harassment. She is not a lolcow and does not really deserve the possible Streisand Effect from this.

It's a really bad site at keeping alleged victims private and is easily opening up people to more harassment and exposure as such.

It's a really really bad idea and model.
 
So according to a WHOIS, they are registered by godaddy.

We also have zero tolerance for spam activity as outlined in our Anti-Spam Policy. We review all complaints for validity and will take appropriate action, and as part of our investigation it may also be necessary for us to corroborate your complaint with our customer.

I'm not sure if it'll do anything, but since we have seen that they want a twitter password to sign in, and have poor security, It might be worth looking at the report site

Being too fucking brainless to keep their users' data safe from Teh Farmz does not violate them their hoster's ToS, so a report won't do anything.

The people who unironically join Heartmob are retards who want to be harassed and get attention, so Heartmob being loose with the personal information of its users is just doing them a favor, really.

Although it could hurt Heartmob as well. The vulnerability with their URLs mentioned in an above tweet looks like a pretty basic example of Blind SQL injection. I mentioned some big names in cracking earlier in this thread, but if this is any indication of what sort of security Heartmob is using, any idiot could be pulling some fuckery with the URLs and pulling shit from their databases.

Oh, no doubt. There are programmers and developers, and then there are "programmers and developers" -- Heartmob's staff is rooted firmly in the latter of those two. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Heartmob was built using some out of the box CMS platform with some janky Github shit stapled to it.

If you didn't see the request I put through earlier, I posed as Vivek Wadhwa. If you're not familiar with the guy, he's a famous author and legit feminist who's done actual work worth a damn. He's someone worthy of respect. Early into Gamergate, Randwhale began a one-woman campaign of terror to essentially destroy the dude's life for daring to disagree with her.

So I reported her harassment.

Up until Randwhale joined, my post had just sat there, unsupported, but uncontested.

That's just unreal, needing protection comments on a news article. That's not even targeted harassment, that's just other people's opinions. For fuck's sake.

From what I've been able to glean, it seems this Coraline Ada Ehmke (born Corey) wrote up this Code of Conduct that has been adopted by many hacking communities. The problem people have with it is you can permanently boot a coder from a project if they show problematic behavior AT ALL, and that means outside of the community as well.

Also Coraline is in her 40s and she came crying to HeartMob. Wow.
