He'll likely cover a lot of points that probably have already been discussed in this thread, but needless to say he won't mince his words with how shit Hazbin is. I had a passing interest in Viz's work prior to the release of the pilot episodes for both shows, the character designs definitely helped with that. TL;DR Both pilots mog the hell out of both series in terms of quality; Helluva fared better in it's first season with some of it's episodes, I didn't finish with the rest of season one because I saw the drop off in quality from Ozzies onward, didn't bother watching anything from Hazbin afterwards either for much of reasons outline in this thread: worse characterization, non-existent world building, bad storytelling, broken plot, etc.

Everything outside of both series is far more entertaining than anything Vizie could ever muster, why doesn't she have a consistent co-writer to tard wrangle her Ideas is beyond me, CHAdam is based, FRAUDlestor is a jobber, Roundhouse demoniggers into the concrete, Octavia did nothing wrong, and here's an art tax:

I’m in the middle of watching it. He’s been tearing the show’s logic a new one pretty thoroughly.

Channels like this always choose to go back and take another big old heaping helping of feces to eat. They have to or else they won't receive the attention of their audience which they need to live.

Listened to it in the background, and he does bring up most of the common points people have made ITT, so it's nothing really new, I'll give him points for having an entire section dedicated to calling out the fact the lead storyboard artist for Poison has a rape fetish and shitting on Viv several times throughout the video for being utterly terrible at taking any criticism.

And now they're trying to gaslight their audience into thinking they weren't clickbaited. "Oh, that's actually not Verosika. That's just a random succubus that appears in the music video." Bitch, that is clearly Verosika. There's not any background character in the video that looks close to this image. Don't start lying to save your ass. You knew that most people wouldn't like another short focusing on Chaz so soon after the April fools one, so you falsely advertised that Verosika was going to be in some way a part of this.

Maybe he will get to the second season. I would like to see his reaction to Valentino being a sad boi over Vox, the Lilith teaser from S1 having no payoff until the end of S2, and the reason why Sir Pentious ended up in Hell.
 
I actually really liked the premise of the initial pilot. Than the first episode aired and did the whole “actually, Satan was just an innocent widdle sad boi trying to protect woman and Adam is a mean ol’ sexist” and I just couldn’t be bothered.

Some of the music is good though.

EDIT: Don’t blindly type while driving, kids.

Jokes aside, I also wasn't the biggest fan of the HH pilot when it came out. But with what we got with the show....the pilot doesn't seem too shabby now.

Oh, so the thing that happened to the main show is happening to the shorts. Fan. Fucking. Tastic! Can’t wait to get a Stolas short, that one is going to be fucking awesome!

No, they can’t risk giving those two shorts, they might accidentally humanize them and then anyone that isn’t jacking it to Stolas might hate the bird.
 
Truth be told, while I did initially believe the short was going to be about Verosika when it first got announced, I manage to figure out that it was going to about Chaz while going through his VA's Twitter a few days ago so I knew what I was heading into today.

And while doing further research, Shark Boy Summer was a fanmade music video Eric Schwartz shared in a livestream 2 years ago. Basically another Addict/Look My Way situation.

As for the short itself, it's what you expect from a character like Chaz. If you find him obnoxious before, you'll probably find him obnoxious here. Not much else to say besides that one of the promos leading up to the release had someone dress up as Verosika and she and Eric were dancing to the 4 Non Blondes' song What's Up. Or in other words, they did this:

What I like about this design is that it clearly demonstrates that Charlie is very much not human, and there is a certain level of uncanniness to see such a being have a decent, if not yet truly deep grasp of human behavior. Personality wise this Charlie feels a lot more mature and intelligent while still maintaining her compassion and charm. She's still willing to give people a chance but won't hesitate to give belt to ass if you test her patience too much - and very often despite her appearance she's willing to use it to stand her ground and demonstrates why she is the princess of Hell.

Thoughts on this version? I think this is interesting and the comics she's made are also worth checking out.

I agree. I'm a big fan of those "What he sees" arts on Newgrounds, because that one Helluva Boss short gave me the idea that normal humans aren't seeing cute little red creatures or hot anthro hellhounds. They're seeing these ungodly abominations
