Professional actors might've been encouraged by Amazon for the sake of better professionalism expectations (like not constantly doing livestreams or scrambling to twitter the moment anything controversial happens and only making it worse) for people who are sorta the secondary faces of the show even if theyre not very involved with the production overall. Still sucks but not the most irrational decision tbh.
Much less risk of the VAs doing an only fans stream dressed as their characters when you use professionals.

I'm not one to say that there is a misogyny issue...but fuck it, there us a misogyny issue. Or at the very least a strong preference towards men fucking other men.

Beyond the subject of the obvious rage-bait, the reaction is way more interesting. I did not expect some sects of the fandom to hate the Stella post this much. Honestly, was expecting the literal opposite. So weird for a fandom made of gay autistic people to have this double-standard.

Queers generally dislike women who aren't ugly genderblobs, this is a known factor of those communities.

Now to be a little generous on the 'va' thing, indie vas do get exposed for being nonces/saying slurs/etc at way higher rates thanks to their larger digital footprint. The current Kovach Nega controversy is hitting Glitch now and not Spindlehorse.

We are seeing in real time with TADC what happens when your VAs are indie and thus at the mercy of easily offended, parasocial fans.

Here's something I saw from a tweet: that in some of the same mythology from which she originated, Lilith actually raped Adam, not simply refuse to be his wife like in the show. I feel like if this were actually integrated into the show there could have been a narrative about the perception of rape victims depending on who raped them: Adam could have put on this facade of being a dudebro because he's afraid he'd be humiliated for being "weak" enough to let a woman rape him.

I think it would have been cooler to see a deconstruction of Lilith as a "feminist" icon, and to demonstrate how pathetic and awful it really is. I remember seeing a good idea floating around that Lilith may oppose the hotel because she doesn't think people need into change themselves, the antithesis of the show's main theme and the pinnacle of pride. But sadly this is like asking a McDonald's chef to make a four-course meal.

Make her eat infants and still births and cause miscarriages as well just like the Jewish demon she's named after as well since then you can have an abortion controversy in your gay demons buttfucking cartoon.

Feminists would rather die then let that happen. They cling to this depiction as if their lives depends on it.
Feminism as a whole has become corrupted, I feel. What was once about equality of opportunity has now become an unchecked mouthpiece from which misandrists can spout their nonsense. And I feel like you could make a pretty compelling narrative from Lilith - a lot of her lore has been whitewashed to remove the less pleasant aspects (I mentioned earlier that in some interpetations she actually raped Adam) so maybe in the show she could've done that on purpose.

Their livelihoods do depend on people seeing them as iconic god like figures. If people saw them as mere mortals they'd be told to fuck off back to the kitchen. Seeing as they have no marketable skills.
