I think that is all it is going to be. My best guess and gut feeling is that maybe one of the Hazbin characters will be the ones hiring I.M.P for something in an HB episode or short. Wouldn't require any significant rewriting of the story, just replace Random Sinner that comes to hire them with a Hazbin character. That seems the most obvious and least disruptive while still being a selling point.

That has to be coming in S3 because agreed, what a fucking waste of a voice actor. You gave Patrick Stump a character in a musical and he only sings a couple of lines at the very end of the season?

Its not just him, hell we had the same shit with Kesha. You'd think we'd have her do the songs, but instead she does VA'ing while someone else sings.

I just remembered that Abel does sing a bit more in No One Here is Like You. I just forgot because the song isn't that good, and I always associate it as an Emily and Pentious song. Looking at the lyrics, he really only sings back-up to Emily with St. Peter (An even more useless character).

Question is, who? Assuming Hazbin takes place in Earth's 2020's (When the show was made), the most recent significant character to die was Velvette, who died in the 2010's IIRC. Given her ego, I doubt she'd want anything to do with IMP. The only other option is that someone wants IMP to go to Earth and bring back proof that a loved one or descendant is still alive and well.
 
They just don't really have any natural plot connections. Not unless they decide hellborn can go to heaven and that feels like a weird trait for this world to have.

I suppose they could in theory since angels are cast down?

Demons could probably go to Heaven if the plot demands it, since the rules of the afterlife and in particular who can go where don't make any sense and just get made up on the spot without much thought about consistency to justify the current story the writers thought up.
