I’ve also noticed the show tends to have this weird, unlikable trend with millennial writing of the 2010’s with shit like The Living Tombstone or those really stupid creepy pastas trying to be profound. Basically taking adult, disturbing, or uncomfortable themes and trying to convey they them through the perspective of a child or a very young teenager. It’s like taking drug addiction and trying to articulate through video game terms or anime tropes. That is a very valid argument. Another issue that these shows have but is more prevalent in Helluva Boss, is that a lot of times they can't leave a serious moment serious. There has to be a joke shoved in at the end. It's not as bad as some other modern media, but it still is an annoying writing trope.
While the HH pilot had it's own constant egregious sounds effects, at least the dialogue wasn't so god damn slow. Everyone is talking at half the speed they should be talking at, and some lines just drag on. Especially the jokes. There was the possibility of some being funny, but it was dragged out for way too long.
It also has no characters. Rather “dolls” as in they have no character arcs and no real end in sight to their characterization and they never change throughout the show. I know OC is a term people like to use for those types of characters, but I like the term dolls more because Hazbin Hotel is essentially one big doll house.
