I mean the start of the discussion was more about Viv having the story insufficiently fleshed out in advance, which is probably true considering what we know about her.
I doubt she had a story at all. She probably had half a dozen scenes at most.

He couldn't.

Dialogue from Oops. Asmodeus shot it down, and definitely would have shot it down even harder if Blitz came alone for it. Fizz despised Blitz until the events of Oops where they kinda-sorta made up. Also explains why Barbie could get one; very likely her and Fizz remained close after the circus fire and bonded over their mutual hatred of Blitz.
I meant more like why he didn't try to hire an incubi/succubi to work with. Or steal one from one of them. I think that would be easier to steal a crystal off some random hellborn than a grimoire from a goetia. I don't even think Asmodeus would even notice/nor care as he is very hands-off with his underlings.

And there's the whole court scene where Asmodeus doesn't even bring up that Blitzø is under his jurisdiction now because...the plot needs to happen. I swear if these characters would use one braincell so many things could be solved.

The entire point of the crystal and The Full Moon episode as a whole is that Stolas feels bad about essentially being a sexual predator. He's been holding the grimoire over Blitz and using him for sex, and comes to realize how fucked up that is and no longer wants to do it. Yes, Blitz has always consented to their sex, but it is still a wildly unbalanced power dynamic. Hence the crystal: Stolas has no power over it. The obligation for Blitz to meet (and fuck) him is now gone, because he can run IMP independently and no longer needs anything at all from Stolas.

Basically, it took a couple months but post-nut clarity finally hit and he felt gross. The whole "Stolas is evil and actively abusing Blitz" was only in the pilot, which is no longer canon anyway.

The most unrealistic aspect of this entire show is the idea that a gay royal pervert would ever give a single damn or a second thought to "consent" or "power dynamics"

I think the funniest thing is that in the original pilot that while Stolas was definitely a pervert he was still less of a sex pest than what we got in the actual show. He just wanted Blitzø to use his grimoire to kill certain people on Earth for him. There was no transactional fucking until Murder Family came around.

And then they retcon the pilot only to make Stolas again worse because it shows him breaking into Blitzø's workplace cause he can't take no for an answer. How come the pilot version of Stolas who was supposed to be the villain of the story is a marginally better person than the show's version who is supposed to be the good guy?

Guys, the whole point I was making originally was that the whole asmodeus crystal thing was never a thing originally until the writers pulled it out of their asses for season 2 because they wanted an easy out for Stolas to have with the whole sexual transaction thing. The fact that it was never mentioned or shown in season 1 is proof enough for that.

Having it now just brings up the big question of why Blitzø never tried to get his hands on one in the first place. And don't say because he is stupid. I am so tired of people excusing major plot holes in the show with that mention that the characters are dumbasses. It's just lazy writing.
It doesnt make any sense. However this allows for buttpluggate which is what I am all in on. You gotta work with what you have

What if the characters were all voiced by rappers and such? If I am not mistaken, there was a time where someone would do that, picking kung fu films and do voice overs with rappers:
https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoBestFri...thing_crazy_that_got_brought_to_my_attention/ (reddit link I know)

What if rap-zie did this where everyone was black or hindoodoo and in Heaven (real heaven - invisible) everyone was Aryan? The Heaven we see they could be latinos and arabs I guess. So we would have stuff like other rappers too.
Don't take this post seriously, lmao.

I don't know why today of all days is one that I'm constantly wanting to talk about HH/HB (perhaps it's because I'm sick...), but I found this really interesting video of not only about Charlie but the concept of the show in general:

It just amazes me how so many people can come up with better ideas for these shows. And I know part of it has to do that we as the audience sees the outcome of what we got and how it could be better, but even back then when the all this was just a concept, so many other people were coming up with these questions that could really be digged into. And the fact that Viv during those years of putting all this together but just never thought about these kind of things is really shocking. I don't know if she just ignored it because it wasn't fun for her, or she genuinely just never examined this beyond it's surface level. Maybe it's a bit of both.

I think it's both. The biggest giveaway is Charlie, not just because she's a self-insert, but because nothing about her actually makes sense for a setting like Hell. Even if she's sheltered, even if her parents are ~really nice,~ her singing about how great sinners are because "they're her people" only to turn around and barely do anything with the hotel other than promoting it? There's a real disconnect. It wasn't as bad in the pilot with "You can't take shit from other demons," yet her behavior makes more sense if it was a Zootopia-like setting. Except it isn't. It's Hell, and not even most of the sinners give a shit. Other than Pentious, or maybe Angel Dust,

I suspect Charlie is not in fact sheltered but more likely retarded. Like full retard levels of retardation.

Rooster a repurposed oc of Dollcreep I'm sure.

one of the things that amazed me as i made more of the webps is how many funny in-between frames there are. stuff you dont notice in motion and maybe only catch if you pause it to do something.
The pilot is just full of these smear frames. It really helped with the exaggeration and fluidity of motion in the animation.

And I've seen a few in the actual show itself; they just don't seem to be pulled to the extreme as the pilot was.

And I do get why; the show has a budget and deadline that can't be overstepped.

theres something charming about the quirky frames.

as much as i enjoy the amazon animation the pilot animation has a special feel to it.

that and alastor was way more entertaining in the pilot but i digress.
