Sir Pentious, of all the characters aside from Alastor, was by far the most interesting. Despite his poorly paced characterization, in concept Vivienne kind of, intentionally or not, nailed the neutral party being thrown in an environment where performing evil and working for evil is the only way to survive. His motivations also made sense with his loyalty switch from Vox to Charlie mainly because surviving alone in a violent environment despite having the technology would be impossible. His interactions with his egg minions were also cute. I don't know what the thread consensus of him is, but he was a character I didn't mind and actually surprisingly agreed with retconning from the pilot. I also really like how his characterization in Season 1 got tied to his backstory in Season 2.

Alastor, despite his appearance, was also kind of fun. Something about a Judge Holden type character just spitting zany one liners and insults while also being unapologetically evil was kind of charming.

The concept of "assassins from hell" is so good you have a near infinite list of possible ways to develop it into something successful.
Make them kill a satanic cult, make them discover shady group that works for the christian church and does the same, and start a rivalry, be used by a dead/alive politician to initiate a world war, the targets were all angels in disguise, the people commissioning murders want christianity to weaken in order for demons to be capable to go back to the human world, be tied to the apocypse, the client/target is the antichrist who wants to attain apotheosis, imps having all a a past life as humans and dealing with their own inner demons and guilt...
Kudos to viziepop to anisa husband's her own show into taking the worst path immaginable:
Nomore asassination, the boss of the assassin's group is in a forbidden gay romance with a faggot, but his boyfriend/childhiod friend's wife is a WOMAN bitch. Also also the gays and broadway musicals.

When I said "everyone can try to be a better writer than viziepop and succeed", I meant it.
That's why a contest to write a better story with the same characters would be hilarious.

This is late but God I'm so tired of seeing that stupid slut shark on all the merchandise when he was quite literally a pump and dump character. Just admit that you think you made a mistake killing him off when it's obvious that they like his design. He must belong to one of the animators or something to get THAT much merch, I refuse to believe that people unironically still go to bat for fucking Chaz of all characters.

Also insert my obligatory "Every time Striker is in an episode they make him worse and do him so dirty" rant here because I'm STILL tilted that they took an actual cool-ass character and turned him into an idiot who can't even memorize like eight words.

You know, Sooty, despite all the Indian themes, I feel it would be interesting to incorporate either an Indian character or perhaps a Buddhist hell.
Either two options:
  • Assassins (not really) or gang (better) who extort and find ways to get around the clock in order to "continue living the life" that was imposed on them (doesn't make sense) OR each kill or whatever makes them find a way to get them back to their reincarnation quicker and potentially come back as a "rich brahmin". (saaaaaar)
  • Characters that aren't necessarily a gang, yet rather "Apu" of the series.

Alastor is a joke and a shadow of what he was in the pilot. He has some of the worst lines and his interactions with Lucifer are embarrassing. But, at least he thinks and acts like a demon would sometimes. He's the closest to a real demon despite technically not being one. We're not expected to see him as a heckin' smol bean.

This tend to happen frequently with characters that are supposed to be ‘Badguys’ but the writers don’t know the first thing about basic morality, so they end up writing them well on accident. See Alan Moore and Rorschach.

I'll give you that, I don't realise how many fangirls he has.

HOWEVER, I do find myself wondering if it's because of his abhorrent personality (which doesn't seem to be on display in any of the images you shared with us above) or because he's A) a shark and sharks are objectively cool, B) he has a unique colour combination and he's not the bog-standard red/black/white/yellow and C) they keep making merch of him so fans are more exposed to him compared to other characters.

Grasping at straws here, I know, when the most "logical" conclusion is "shark man hot and shallow and I can fix him/he can make me worse". Also "one-dimensional and dead so I can turn him into whatever I want".
