Viv, this is why people don't think you take sexual assualt seriously. Calling your canonical rapist "our little moron" like he's some sort of cute pet is definitely a take; a take that the majority of people wouldn't stand by.

Also, for all those people that said Sir Pentious didn't get raped in that one scene because none of the patrons would do something like that in a place called Consent; we now know that this place is owned by Val and he only he called it that because he heard it in passing and thought it would be a good name for a club. Also, people keep saying the show is about finding the good in the worst, and yet Adam is still evil and deserved to get shanked because he was a dude bro who did as he was told, and was happy to do it. Aside: The whole consent thing has gotten muddled in the past because of these people, but when you have a character clawing at the ground struggling to not go into a room with people, it’s safe to say that consent is likely not on the table regardless of what he shouted out before.

Its strange for commentary. Directors and creators usually talk about the process and what they are trying to convey, shot compositions, challanges, shots they liked, how long it took and other behind the stage goodies. This is all the inner workings behind the curtain which makes people want to watch commentary. Thats what makes them fascinating as its actually learning more about the film, the creators, and the pipeline of the project. This is just.. fawning. In the most simple terms and thats fine for creators to do that, but its usually restrained and the passion of the project taking over. This is just cringe, a bunch of millennial white women given a microphone just to flicking their beans to the UWU rapist, and his UWU rape supporter/supplier/ and drugger (hypnotic powers means he could just hypnotize people who resists, and he seems very use to doing it to AngelDust) on an AUDIO format.

They don't talk about HIM Valentino like him as a character, or his interests, or his own psychological make up, why hes doing this and his mentality which would be very helpful to know VIV. Its just his design, hes ""hot"", thats ""cute"". This is just disturbing how disassociative to the project they are working on and or are obsessed with it. Its like they actually don't know or have any other substance on these characters, hmm?

This is not how someone who cares about projects talks, or acts, or writes. At most she's passionate about playing with her dolls and slicking to them. There's such a complete lack of care in it all that it's downright offensive. And people wonder why everyone criticizes her so much? Because even when people can't name it, they can feel it. I can smell it all the way from here. I can smell it through my fucking screen.

Bingo, people like to joke about how autists are obsessed with things like trains, dinosaurs, guns ect but very rarely do you see the obsession with sharks brought up. Combine that with his green and white with muted grey colors and Viv and co pretty much hit Fandom gold with chaz, even if they have to sidestep around if he's really dead or just walking around with a missing jawbone.

i hate running in circles but yeah. This show really does/did have a lot of potential. There is a LOT you could do here. I mean a lot of it will never make sense because heaven and hell do not interact irl but like... you can bend some rules for entertainment.

OR she could go with the other idea and make heaven just another ring of hell and its all an illusion. the lower class thinks heaven is heaven when its not. this would take care of most plotholes. heaven doing bad things? solved. the ability for demons to enter haven? solved. the fact heaven and hell exist side by side in an interactable way? solved.

not to mention it would actually be really creative and interesting to have this be revealed. which is how you know its not going to happen.

That's what's so frustrating about these shows, they have great, unique premises, and both of the pilots and S1 of Helluva were legitimately good, even if some of their flaws are sort of glossed over because of the downgrade in quality. While there's many more shows where the first season or two are by far the best than there are ones that maintain consistent quality or even get better and better thoughout, in regards to Helluva S2 it's just how quick the nosedive happened that makes it stand out.

Imagine, for a moment, if the whole plot twist for Hazbin was actually that no, you cannot get redeemed, you had your shot, and you blew it.
And the characters are devastated, opinions are split, but in the end it works out, because even though they can't find heaven, they manage to rebuild and create something meaningful in spite of the cruelty of hell.
Despite everything, they stand triumphant over a godless place, because they learned to find dignity in their own actions.

I say all that because I get why people care about this show despite disliking it so much, because Vivziepop's depiction of hell, behind the sparkledog-meets-hot-topic aesthetic and endless swearing, is something I genuinely think is interesting to explore as a narrative setting. If they actually tried, if these shows had the self-decency to treat their stories with any level of respect or seriousness. I really do think you could have a genuinely compelling story, let alone for something that calls itself "adult" animation. I slapped together the story premise above this, for free. It wasn't hard to conceptualize. WTF is their writing team doing? Are they getting paid?

Nah, instead we just get a giant excuse for a fat fujoshi with parental issues to smash their UWU sadboi OC's together and have gay buttsex and go "UWU I'm so sad!!!". Consistency? Depth? Writing? whats that? Why should we care? Stop taking this so seriously, sweaty. You're not supposed to think about it because we're an adult comedy, see? It's in the name. Adult. Comedy.
