The problem of course is how do you do the opposite of a murder to get out of hell? I think someone sarcastically suggested that would mean that the penitent would have to get pregnant, which, for the love of God, please no.

That is just redundant because that man is a closeted homosexual

All jokes aside, the comparison you made really illustrates why Vox is just a more compelling character than Alastor, mainly if we use the comparison.

Hannibal Lector-like characters are honestly pretty boring because they try so hard to be mysterious, whimsical, and scary that you forget that they are a human which makes them feel more flat despite the hardest attempts at trying to make them complex and smart characters.

Characters that follow the Patrick Bateman mold are inherently more interesting because they have a humanity that feels real which is they are allowed to feel vulnerable, pathetic, and human. Those traits just emphasize their worst ones because they are human beings yet choose to commit heinous actions, and feel a little more grounded in reality even with how over the top they are.
 
I will give Hazbin Hotel credit for the fact that at least there's no trannies in it (to my knowledge). I haven't watched all of Helluva Boss, but I'm pretty sure the tranny characters in that show are just side or background characters, with the one having the most screentime being Sallie Mae for like one episode.

I was upset that Fionna & Cake added a tranny character.

Yeah the only trannies are background characters or one-offs, no one in the actual cast in confirmed.

Sallie Mae has been in a few episodes of Helluva including being featured in a short but beyond some FTM imp Blitzo fucked before it's been pretty gender free. Hazbin has literally none but I assumed at some point that will change to sell more pride merch and pander.

Yeah, Charlie’s age makes no sense. Let’s assume the story follows a Young Earth Creationist (YEC) timeline. They think the Earth is somewhere between 6 to 10 thousand years old. I’m gonna be nice and pick the shorter timeline.

The YEC timeline says that the Earth was made in 4004 BC, or 6,029 years ago and that Seth (Adam’s third son) was born in 3874 BC. Assuming Lucifer and Lilith had Charlie when Adam had Seth, Charlie (and Abel, for that matter) should be ~5,899 years old. And older than characters like Zestial by a tremendous margin.

Now, we’re assuming Lilith and Lucifer had kids relatively quickly. That’s not fair. Several fans argue Charlie is about ~200 years old because of some portraits of the family look very 19th century. So Lilith and Lucifer were going strong for (let’s reuse the Seth date for their marriage) about ~5,674 years, Charlie was born, and within 200 years they’re split up? Damn. That’s pretty brutal for Charlie.

Charlie acts and looks like she’s in her twenties despite being the daughter of a guy who met God once. Other overlords who look like they’re from the 18-19th centuries (ex. Maestro, the black guy) act like old nerds. Vox treats them like old nerds, and yet he patronizes Charlie like he would a news station intern. This dude should be, like, less than half her age. I used to think the different “realms” had their own weird time dilation thing but Helluva Boss contradicts this.

I don’t know, man, nobody thought too hard about this. I was gonna say “nobody autistic works on this show” in the sense that there’s an absence of systemized thinking… but this whole Hellaverse thing has trannies and furries so obviously there’s autistics somewhere on board. How the fuck did they let this happen? I guess they’re all Charlie type autistics and not the Rainman kind that’s good at arithmetic.

So his arc going forward is that he likely knows he cannot go to heaven, which does set up a new arc for him beyond just trying to be a good boy.

When Vox called Angel Dust a murderer, I genuinely chuckled because everyone there at that scene has murdered someone. Hell, Vaggie helped in a genocide. Everyone should be really desensitized to that fact, and then maybe have different reactions to the whole patricide. It's kind of like the whole Vaggie being revealed to be an ex-exorcist and everyone in the Hotel having a similar reaction of being ok with that (except Charlie, but she's not upset that her girlfriend killed her people since she sees Sinners that way; she's just upset because her girlfriend hid that away from her).

The fact that the big sin Angel committed on Earth was that he killed his father and not the other terrible things someone like him would do while being in the mafia, really makes me think that the murder of his father will be something defensible and/or sympathetic to Angel Dust. Cause that's probably more easier to redeem than a whole life-time of crime.

There have been theories floating around that Angel Dust will get the upperhand of Valentino, but doesn't kill him and spares his life, hence "cleansing" him of his past sin. If that was to happen....well I'm sure nothing controversial will come from that and everyone who watches this will respond to it in a positive way.

I laughed out loud when Vox said, “murder” all dramatic like. This show has made it abundantly clear from the beginning that murder is extraordinarily common, and we’re even aware that those who die essentially just respawn somewhere in the Ring, so there is literally no downside to biting the big one.

Edit: Me and @InJailOutSoon basically made the same point at the same time about this, lol. I’m glad I’m not the only person who thought this way.
