These literal hellspawn are born and raised in an enviroment where being a criminal, and a sinner and a piece of scum is not a choice, its the norm.
They can't know better, they can't understand better, its their culture, and if an angel comes to hell and kills them fir existing, they should go to heaven because they are technically innocents victims.
I mean demons being shitty is literally part of their nature, not their culture. It's not a "well they were raised that way!" situation, demons are just naturally like that. They're unholy sinful creatures by default, that's why they only spawn in Hell.

They're "innocent" in the same way a tumor is innocent because it didn't choose to kill you. It's still killing you and needs to be rendered benign or cut out. There are no good tumors.

You see, by our logic, which is based and redpilled and correct, you'd be right, but in viv's logic, which is woke, gay and retarded, you'd be in the wrong.

I had to research to see if I was correct (ask grok) and apparently hellspawn and sinners are separate things, which means I have to eat up my own words and say it's not fucking demented anymore that demons can reproduce, but I still refuse to back down completely and instead claim that is still a boring idea that is ultimately lame.
Becuase here's the thing: Hellspawn are like your dog, they won't go to heaven nor hell when they die, they are just erased from existence, it's not just boring, it feels wrong and I can fix it,

Last month I wrote my take on how I would have done hell's worldbuilding, it didn't include hellspawn being able to reproduce but revolved around the idea of souls and sin being an essential resource and aspect in hell so, as a punishment and to give you an example of how a better writer handles this random shit, allow me to integrate demons being able to reproduce:
Souls are created only in the living world so, If a demon gives birth, it creates a souless corpses that remains unresponsive and will shortly die unless its put into some kind of demon cradle, even then it remains inanimated unless given a soul, and the only way to get a soul in hell, like told before, it's to take it from a demon. The baby is born with memories of its life as a living still present but their memories from between dying and having had their soul extracted is lost. The less sin the soul had gathered as a demon, the healthier (but at the same time weaker) the demon baby will grow, so while sinful souls are gathered for demons for resources, the richest and most sinful of elites can still recycle their own souls if killed via storing souless infant bodies and then get raised in a safe enviroment, while penitent souls that try to live sinless and suffers literal hell can still renovate by killing each other, and at the same time, this parenthood will always feel wrong since the child is an ultimately an adult mind with adult memories trapped in an infant's body.
In additions, angels (or fallen angles in this case) have unique souls: they are sinless so, if taken from the body and used as resource, they are technically worthless, but if implanted in a demon body, the child will grow much stronger than any other and will have no memory of its past life. In this case that isn't throwing shit at walls but meticolously pin-pointing stuff in such a way that allows shit to be integrated and questions to be logically answered in a way that add menaing, Charlie, Stolas and Octavia could have the soul of fallen angels, with the first one of them suffering identity crisis about the origin of their own soul and how their fathers came into possession of it, others having a tradition regard dying and inheriting souls, so providing what's (by superstition alone) perceived as a strong vessel for the soul being the very reason for forcing marriages between families. This gives an even more tragic aspect to Stolas, who in this was sent to marry his wife from his early days for something that's basically truly perverted and decadent form of nobility, and the reason regular demon would try to assassinate him is not just because he's a rich asshole, but because angelic souls are worth more than anything else in hell.
Edit: I'm not here to do viv's job, i'm just proving that her work is not just sloppy, it doesn't allows for any actually interesting development like this.

I always thought Charlie was Vivienne Medrano's author insert just so she can have heart to hearts with her original characters.
Which makes me disappointed because in the pilot Charlie was always my favorite character. You have this woman who doesn't feel resentment despite being born in hell and being the only human who is in hell despite that she's not a sinner. She has never known anything outside of the worst of humanity but despite that she still believes that the worst can become better, even though she has never seen humans be better. Charlie felt like a character that was really strong and compassionate but her strength was seen by everyone in hell as a weakness.

But instead of exploring that she's just a retard now because #relatable self insert girlfailure. Vaggie is her professional tard wrangler, she does trust falls with sinners, she doesn't know anything about how hell functions despite growing up there and being older than the rest of the main cast. Her optimism despite being face to face with the worst of humanity? It's not framed as strength of character anymore, she's just a sheltered nepo baby because Viv is a sheltered nepo baby.

Meh, I never thought Alastor was all that impressive.

Did I think he was creepy as fuck? Absolutely?

Did I think he was super cool and powerful? Hell no!

Because even with all his power, Alastor was a big fish in an ocean of sharks.

Even with his all powers and contracts, Alastor is still just a sinner. He’s not a member of the seven deadly sin or the king of Hell.
I'd say the initial hype he had stemmed from the fact that Hell's power system wasn't really fleshed out yet. The pilot didn't feature the Overlords, Seven Deadly Sins, or Goetias, so Alastor looked like the top dog.

The fact that the normally pacifistic Charlie didn't get a chance to show off her powers gave viewers the impression that she was weaker than Alastor.
I really love this re design of the character:

"Vaggie! My horns got stuck in the doorway again!"
I guess there's nothing better to watch on amazon prime...
Look, The Boys and Invincible haven't gotten new episodes yet. This is the best we've got.

This season definitely feels less enjoyable than the first. Charli feels like her character has been changed to a bumbling, naive, and less intelligent version of who we saw in S1. While being prone to flights of fancy and gullibility in S1 it’s just blown into such cartoonish proportions it’s makes her feel less like an actual “person” and just a cartoon character.

The songs also feel like a huge downgrade but I can’t quite put my finger on it. S1 had at least a couple songs that were memorable and enjoyable but not so much this season. And dear god the Sir Pentious for Cherry Bomb just fell flat. I think it was a combination of being too over the top and polished, and then proceeded on for just too long.

I could pull out Sir J. R. R. Tolkien's words of "Evil can't create, can only corrupt", but let's face it, if Amazon couldn't follow it for their own LotR series, why should Viv?
Tolkien never said or wrote that 'quote'. The closest thing was a description of the limitations of Sauron's master who couldn't create life themselves.

Evil very much can create in Tolkien's literature. Sauron created the concept of the rings of power and taught the elves how to make them, then he created the one ring to rule them all himself.

As someone who's basically hatewatching this show, it's down to two things:

- Worse songs.
- They fucked up Alastor.

The songs are a matter of taste, but we're halfway through the season, and by that point in S1 there had been at least a couple that were memorable and fun. So far the only one in S2 that qualifies is "Gravity," and that one's undercut by what an absolutely awful character Adam was -- why would anyone get this worked up over that piece of shit getting killed? It's not an issue of "If you hated him that means he was a good villain" -- he was simply obnoxious, badly written, and a sign of terrible worldbuilding. The first human is destroyed by the forces of Hell, and his creator has ... nothing to say about it? Really?

Alastor is the bigger issue. For me, he basically carried the show -- the mysteries around him, what plots he was hatching, the groundwork being laid for his own inner conflict when he realizes he nearly sacrificed himself to save people he shouldn't think of as friends.

Now it turns out his deal was just with the cannibal lady, he's been completely marginalized, literally gagged so he can't talk. In reducing his role, we're forced to deal with a raft of characters who are simply nowhere near as interesting.

Also, the whole thing oozes faggotry, but I've already said that.

Yeah I'm retarded, so I made a quick duck go search and this quote came to me:
"Since he [Melkor] had no love even for the things that he had himself made, he came at length to reck not at all how things had come into being, considering neither their natures nor their purposes. Thus he desired only to possess things, to dominate them, denying to all minds any freedom outside his own will, and to other creatures any value save as they served his own plans. Thus it was seen in Arda that the things made or designed by Melcor were never “new” (though at first he strove to make them so) but were imitations or mockeries of works of others."
It's less of "evil cannot create, it can only corrupt" and more "Evil cannot create new, it can only imitate".
@Ultraman Orb Dark , it has even worse sex jokes and scenes of conservatives being beaten with menorhas.
By the way, the writer is jewish.

Oh, you adorable little naif.
I SAID PROBABLY, MR. INDIANA JONES VILLAIN!

I wonder why they don’t have angels to try and take back the angelic weapons
In the Great Divorce, there is a ghost from Hell, who suspects that Heaven and Hell aren't actually at war.

“I thought they were at war?”

“Of course you did. That's the official version. But who's ever seen any signs of it? Oh, I know that's how they talk. But if there’s a real war why don't they do anything? Don't you see that if the official version were true these chaps up here would attack and sweep the Town out of existence? They've got the strength. If they wanted to rescue us they could do it.”

Now, in context, this guy is a conspiracy nut, and in the Christian perspective which The Great Divorce adheres to much more strongly than HH, the reason is simple:

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."
-2 Peter 3:9

However, I suspect that the reason Heaven hasn't bothered in HH is because both sides are fucking retarded.

The other big reason why Heaven doesn't destroy Hell in TGD is that Hell is literally the size of a crack compared to Heaven.
The narrator almost trips over it at one point. There's no reason to attack it since the only way for them to get to Heaven is via the bus, and then they're so weak and transparent that they literally cut their feet walking over grass blades.
On top of that, it's proven that sinners in TGD can also be redeemed by letting go of their Earthly vices, so why perma-kill people who have a chance of turning themselves around?
Yes, I realize this is also the plot of HH.

God, this is one of the most retarded things I’ve ever seen. A lot of the quotes are saying “lmao like all the rapists and murderers deserve any apology”, and others are like “genocide is bad, Stacy.” Or just dunking on Christians.

I swear when everything goes down and everything Adam said is proven right, they’ll shift to “Hurt-people hurt people.” And the cycle of violence bullshit.

I wonder why they don’t have angels to try and take back the angelic weapons
Adam & Lute don't see anything wrong with Sinners permakilling each other.

As for why they now don't attempt to take their weapons back after knowing they can die?

Does Sera look smart to you?

Honestly, I find the gift basket shit kinda hilarious and the reaction towards it. All that is missing is just adding small cards that say "Sorry guys, our bad" or something.

It kinda feels that they're rushing through Al's entire backstory that you'd probably get in crumbs or rumors in the original concept, but at the same time setting up as a future villain for S3 or 4. I will give the show this, at no point is the show trying to have be him someone with a tragic backstory or whatever. This guy is a POS; he's proud that he's a POS, and he wants to become King Shit of Dick Mountain. In fact, this guy pretty much mocks the idea of companionship or sharing the spotlight with anyone.
