Having them call Alastor a pet, or belittling him because od the era they died in makes sense or even Pentious (1888) not treating Alastor well because hes a British person whos probably never seen a black person because of how rare they were there.
I don't think it makes sense for Alastor to have been visibly pee-oh-see in the South. He wouldn't have had a radio career at the time. There were a couple exceptions, like Jack Leroy Cooper, but he was in Chicago where it would have been considered more acceptable.

It would have made more sense for him to be white-passing or at least ambiguous like Homer Plessy of Plessy v. Ferguson fame, who could generally pass as white (and which is why he was even allowed on the train he was thrown off).

Because Vivzie is a Broadway fangirl, and turning Hazbin into a musical is just another change from the pilot she made.
Ehh, the pilot was a musical too, with Charlie's song pitching the Hotel, Alastor's reprise of said song, and Charlie singing I'm always chasing rainbows during the intro. Could argue it's more musical focused, but it was clearly at least partly a musical.

Isn't this from a few weeks ago?

This is a waaaay late leak from like two weeks ago, yes. This was getting passed around before the season even started.

Turns out that he didnt make a deal with some sort of mysterious, uber powerful entity that might even border on being eldritch in nature, its just some random bitch that may or may not be a sinner herself (with apparently that much power to share).
Not sure where you got that from, because yes, he made a deal with exactly that: a "mysterious, uber powerful entity". He's owned by Rosie, and while we don't know exactly what she is, she is clearly more powerful than regular sinners. Fan theory right now is that she is Lilith.

Havent been following much but apparently they completely defanged Alastor and made him into fraudulant bitch? Turns out that he didnt make a deal with some sort of mysterious, uber powerful entity that might even border on being eldritch in nature, its just some random bitch that may or may not be a sinner herself (with apparently that much power to share).

Why the fuck modern entertainment just cant help itself? Seems like everytime they have one of those type of mysterious OP chess player characters, be them good or evil, eventually they will get deconstructed and made weaker and pathetic, all disguised as a clever twist and "humanizing" the character.

A large appeal about Alastor was just how in control he was of the situation and hell, for all its faults, S1 at least maintained him a powerful character that could hold its own against Lucifer (if there was a moment to remind us Alastor is sometimes a big fish in a small pond it should have been then but they didnt, soo...) and he also was tricking other big players of Hell so to now just reveal him as not really all that is just another example of irony poisoned subversive modern writing.

People LIKED to see Alastor coming out ontop against the big players of Hell since it really made this WHOLE thing, right down to renovating the Hotel, as part of a big scheme of his while also there being the possibility of a somehow even bigger player that he is serving (tho possibly is also working against secretly).

Oh well, I guess its on the audiences at this point, I suppose.
Meh, I never thought Alastor was all that impressive.

Did I think he was creepy as fuck? Absolutely?

Did I think he was super cool and powerful? Hell no!

Because even with all his power, Alastor was a big fish in an ocean of sharks.

Even with his all powers and contracts, Alastor is still just a sinner. He’s not a member of the seven deadly sins or the king of Hell.

It’s funny how Viv is better at writing action and vulgar humor than she is at writing romance, drama and character development.

(Sorry, this post is late.)
Yeah like Viv can occasionally write good stuff in those later departments only if she has someone to wrangle her like the people who are working on Hazbin that aren't on Helluva or when Brandon Rogers does writing.

Yeah I think people forget that the pilot was also a musical only because 2/3 songs were pretty short and the songs were spaced out a lot.

The pilot honestly is a mixed bag since it has some great jokes but really overdid the sound effects (though I think Alastor should've retained the sound effect stuff given his connection to radio which is an audio-heavy medium). I will say that 2 seasons into the show, I think the only pilot VAs that are objectively better are Angel Dust's and Katie's. The other Pilot VAs are either just as fine as the ones in the show or improvements (really just Husk and Vaggie)

Helluva Boss has released more merch, all related to season 2 stuff. You know, it must suck if you're just a HH fan and don't care about HB. You'll get some stuff released every once in a while and the pickings are slime, but Helluva seems to always be puking up merch releases all the time with just about anything.

Also, guess Viv had to market on the meme about her that was made to make fun of her writing.

I think the written by Viv shirt is actually kinda funny.

Fraudlastor memes are the only reason I decided to peek back into this thread. I don't even really know who he's supposed to be; it just reminds me of /dbs/.

Adolf twinkler
Interrupting the weapons of Michael talk to present something Vivzie would never have the balls to do.

Reinvigorating the "what would Hitler's fursona be" debate is probably gonna be that show's biggest lasting cultural impact.

Fair enough I suppose. I just pictured better ways to demonstrate that or feeling more natural (and before someone accuses me of believing Im a better writer than Vivzie, why, yes, yes I am. 1762738648016.png )

I mean, Rosie isnt what I had in mind but 'lright. Im just watching it all from a distance either way.
