Not the worst short (that goes to the one with Millie and her troon sibling), but it could have done more then circle back to Moxxie's daddy issues. The banter between Moxxie and Millie during the credits made me want to see shorts covering their domestic life, which we probably won't get. I guess this was first time the Hellaverse acknowledges God in the show's lore.

Isn't the last panel of this Adam smugly recounting the story to Charlie while Lucifer looks evasive?
I think so?

I only have this one, so if there's another one out there I don't got it lewl

Edit: found it

Wonder why we didn't see Paulie in hell with a demon form after he died. I was gonna have a theory were if a human dies and we don't see them in hell then Viv and co are planning to reveal their demon form in a follow up. (Martha for ex) but if they die and we see their demon form in the same episode they won't be back again to see it (ex emberlynn pinkle) but then I remembered the episode where Lyle lipton and his partner came back as not evil mad hatter and not dr robotnik with piano teeth in the same episode.

Ya know back when this show was actually decent on a regular basis and not just OK when it's not a train wreck?

This is one of Lyle's better written shorts, but I feel like this would have benefited being an actual episode of the show. The A-plot would be Moxxie's mission and his whole realization that his dad didn't have to be a piece of shit cause he was a monster, and the B-plot would be Blitzø and Mille going leeching. Because my girl definitely needs more screen time that doesn't involve Moxxie.

But hey, I'll give the short this; it only had one or two sex jokes.

The short itself wasn't bad, but it's suffering the same problem as all the other recent assassinations: Professional assassins making decisions based on muh feels AND TRYING TO JUSTIFY IT. Anyone who they identify with is a precious cinnamon roll who doesn't deserve killing, but pissing them off personally makes murder morally acceptable.

This one was fine for what it is. Going off the teaser, it was obvious it was going to be about Moxxie reflecting on Crimson, which yeah, this short didn't really give off that much insight compared to what we already knew. Sorta bummed that there wasn't a sub-plot about Blitzo and Millie's leeching trip. If there was, this might as well have been a regular episode, which could've helped flesh out Moxxie's plot. The credits scene was cute. I wouldn't mind seeing more of that in the future.

I feel like with Moxxie and Loona the feels thing could work since Moxxie has shown to be somewhat reluctant and a greenhorn, while Loona is still a teen who hasn't fully matured.

Every episode and short is just starting to feel like aging millennials using the show as a therapy session. This is, what? The 4th episode about daddy issues?

not to mention he could connect to the mythology that imps arent or at least in some folklore weren't evil. At best they were pranksters who didnt know when a "prank" went too far.
while Loona is still a teen who hasn't fully matured.

Isn't loona supposed to be roughly early 20s? Her being a "troubled teenager" was moxie complaining how blitz treated her and how she begaved desite being a frown adult, as an employee....in the now non cannon and possibly destin to be retconned to hell pilot of helluva boss.

Though frankly spindlehorse should keep it cannon loona is a grown woman who still acts like a troubled wannabe edgy "teenager" despite her age. They'd at least honestly reflect their audience.

Who tf adopts a 17 year old girl?

Besides Woody Allen, I mean.
Basically she was about to age out of the system and would have been left on the streets to fend for herself, and he couldn’t take that. It was actually pretty sweet…but Loona kicking him in the balls for trying to hug her kinda undermines those moments.

oh, you mean like every other Western cartoon these days?

The Amazing Digital Circus tends to feel like that. One minute it's silly wacky fun hijinks and then the next it's deep angst or oh-so-deep talk about your feelings type of scene that feels so abrupt. I have such a big nitpick over such tonal shifts. Sure, you can say it's somewhat fitting to the theme of what the show's going for, but the latest episode gave me such a headache with how in your face it was with its therapy session scenes. Ugh.
