My god, with this shit again? I mean I'm glad that the short is apparently going to have a side plot of Blitzø and Millie going fishing for some reason, cause these two characters need more interaction, but I'm so tired of the mafia being used as a backdrop for more gay daddy issues. Like, I know I'm going to have to deal with that when season 3 of Hazbin Hotel comes along and we get more backstory to Angel Dust and his family. I feel like I have an idea of already how this short is going to go, and I'm not looking forward to it.

I don't get this argument because both shows have a very unique style, so it's just a matter of opinion. If we're going on a technical aspect, then yeah, Hazbin Hotel obviously has the better art and animation. I don't know much about season 2 of Panty and Stocking cause I've only seen a few clips, but I do now that Season 1 had a very small budget. It's one of the reasons why when a monster was defeated, it would go to a live action shot where they exploded a model of said monster. Meanwhile, Hazbin Hotel has a very high budget, estimating around 13 million dollars for just season 1. Which is not really seen for most animated shows, especially for one that only has eight episodes so far.

But anyway, the reason why season 2 of Panty and Stocking is not getting a lot of criticism, is because it already has a demographic that it appeals to. Most people who are going to watch season 2 are fans of the original. They know what to expect already; a raunchy comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. Meanwhile, while Hazbin Hotel had a demographic previously on the internet before the actual show came out, a lot of people from that demographic didn't get what they expected when the show did come out. Which is entirely not exactly the show's fault itself; it's just that the original audience for this felt like the product they were hoping for was overselled. There was higher expectations that just weren't met. And that leaves a lot of people disappointed. It also doesn't help that this Hazbin is trying to be this serious story-drivern show on redemption, while at the same time be this edgy comedy that swears all the times and makes sex jokes constantly.

TLDR: Panty and Stocking is an immature show that the audience already knows is immature, while Hazbin Hotel is supposedly a mature show only on surface but is actually immature underneath.

The difference is that helluva tries to have some bullshit "meaningful" storyline then turns around and makes a dick joke. That's going to give an audience whiplash, especially in helluva's case when it's not done well. PASWG, while still not the best, at least knows it's not serious. Helluva is a PASWG type show masquerading as something complex and serious.

It's yet another thing where Vivz could have benefited from actually modeling it on reality, since she has generally based the concept of royalty on a Eurocentric view.

Arranged marriages, often to establish some kind of diplomatic relationship, were always a thing. The social mores would be that even if they were loveless and solely to establish a bloodline and an alliance, the spouses would at least maintain some level of dignity, keep their actual extramarital love affairs on the downlow and maintain their bastards quietly.

Stolas not only flouts the social contract, but he is so narcissistic he doesn't even care about the consequences for someone like Octavia who is supposedly the center of his universe, but this shameful faggot has cast the entire family into ignominy and disgrace.
