I do believe one can be asexual. In all not everyone likes the idea of sex, and could be repulsed by it. Everyone has their own vices they prefer. Some people like drinking, smoking, or whatever than another.

In all sex is a sort of gross action and some people dont like to commit to the partners enjoyment or their own, some people just don't get too much of enjoyment of sex. Women for example don't experience orgasms like men, and a man's climax is what creates children not women's climaxes. Trauma can be another feature, and culture can cause people to not like the idea of sex without some circumstances being met. Tons of reasons why people don't like sex, nothing wrong with that makes it easier for their genes not to be passed down.

Asexuality (not the actual scientific term for reproduction) I believe does exist. I also believe that someone's sexuality can shift during their lifetime as I figure the factors that contribute to a person's sexuality is genetics and their environment.

The main problem is that since words don't mean anything anymore in the modern era, anyone can claim to be asexual. And you can't disagree with someone's own personal definition because that's considered gatekeeping and being close minded. There's also the fact that people love to give themselves labels for about everything. So now not only can you say you're asexual; you can say you're an aegoromantic aceflux asexual.

Asexuality, in its truest definition, is the lack of primary sexual attraction to other individuals, and doesn’t really have that much to do with libido. Though many asexuals are sex repulsed as well. There are 100% people out there that are not attracted to other humans in a normal way. They may form relationships/bonds, but don’t feel that initial ‘pull’ that normal folks do. You see it in a large number of autistics, but that makes sense because they have great difficulty in social interactions as it is. Trauma is a big contributing factor. It’s also kind of a sliding scale, like bisexuality. Personally I wouldn’t consider someone an asexual unless they had always had those inclinations, and it wasn’t better explained by a hormonal imbalance.

The problem is that I think the population of real asexuals of any variety is incredibly low, but people want to be a part of the kool kidz klub under the LGBTQIAXYZ banner and being ace is an easy get around because you don’t have to actually pretend to like the same sex. So it ends up being a special snowflake label divorced from its actual meaning.

Alastor’s asexuality makes little sense in terms of him being a serial killer. The overwhelming majority of serial killers are sexually motivated. It would make sense if he got a sexual thrill out of the killing itself, but maybe not being attracted to people in a ‘normal’ way. Whether or not this would still be considered asexual is up for debate. The ritual where he summoned Rosie felt sexual, what with all of the finger licking and spectral caresses.

As far as his ‘moral code’, I’m not against it, however it would be more interesting if Alastor were just a piece of shit person who tried to justify his actions to himself, rather than a Dexter Morgan type who is lawful and meticulous. Alastor could be the type of individual who feels superior to others because he only attacks ‘bad’ people, but it’s very surface level and would fall apart like a house of cards when prodded. Him accepting that he’s actually an irredeemable monster instead of deluding himself into thinking he’s justified might actually be an interesting story arc if we were looking at redemption.

Alastor is fraud. His whole existence, very, essence is that he sold himself out for power instead of working for it. This makes him a fake ass bitch who tries to keep a tough guy persona only to realize he's nothing more than just another fish in a smaller pond compared to rest of sea. Everything he does is to cuddle his little ego by constantly fucking with weaker demons which is why probably hotel is perfect for him as he can have fun fucking with people and attacking lesser demons without much punishment under some moral justification which is prob how his actual life was before becoming demon

Tying into the asexual/morally righteous serial killer stuff, Alastor to me is just coping with these titles he gave himself thinking he's above others and the "right" one. He's asexual because like edgy teen "im not like the other guys who have emotional connections" and killing evil racist wyippo makes him a good guy actually who did nuffin wrong and thats why he prob has ego and entitlement so every time he's put down he spergs the fuck out seeing he ain't shit. Voodoo is widely practiced by white people, especially Louisianan Voodoo, which has always had white practitioners. Most black people don’t care, in fact high ranking figures in the religion back in Africa have said that they feel it’s a religion that anyone can practice. There are very prominent white spirits in the religion, like Maman Brigitte.

The closed religion argument could be made, perhaps, for Haitian Vodou or the West African strains, hell, even hoodoo from Georgia and the Carolinas..but for Louisianan Voodoo it just doesn’t stick. The blacks that get really testy about it didn’t grow up with the practice, usually. Odds are they came into it trying to reconnect with their ‘roots’ (whether their ancestors even practiced it or not), and entered the religion with a very negative view of whites to begin with. Think your upper middle, college educated BLM types. They’re like a cancer for folk religions because they feel like they need to ‘correct’ the thinking of long time practitioners, and are the most vocal when it comes to the faith’s public exposure.

It’s all virtue signaling and posturing, however. During my travels I knew a white guy who was a ‘priest’ and nobody in the community gave a rat’s ass.
