Low tier hellborn aren't immortal tho? Blitzo and the others always took non angel weapons as serious therats. Chaz died, the stalker blitzo shot died and that nightmare demon blitzo electrocuted died. Stolas is immortal and i made a comment ago asking why he kneeled if it wasn't an angel axe.

Really if Vivzie wants people to hate Stella, have Stolas man up and take accountability while Stella stays as a bitter ex who can't move on, making her a moustache twirling villain who hates Stolas and want to kill him at all costs while having Stolas still not hold himself accountable does not magically fix it.

Stella was in a loveless arranged marriage with a gay man that both somewhat tried to make work and at least be happy for their daughter, but Stolas cheating on her with a random imp in the bed she sleeps on caused her to break down.

Like the worst we see of Stella be a jerk prior is her choking an animal as a kid (could've been the photo of her taken as she found out about the marriage). her putting responsibility on him to check on Octavia while she was half asleep (a normal thing that parents do), and talking shit about him at a fancy party (which is pretty normal at these high society places).

All the other times Stella is pissed at Stolas is after he cheated on her and repeatedly humiliated her with the divorce among other shit in public since Stolas also openly flirts and is giddy with his boytoy in public like that whole festival which was a pretty big event along with Ozzie's.

Stella isn't the best written character and is not the best person but its harder to really sympathize with Stol-ASS

Stolas and Stella reminds me of team rwby (hear me out) and ironwood back in rwby. To keep it short, ironwood was a military general who trusted team rwby, and due to the monster invasion he suggest they should escape with the mcguffin and abandon the other city. The protags are against it so they betray him and he has a mental breakdown, becoming a genocidal monster and justifying their betrayal.

This offensive level of protagonist centered morality lead people to side with ironwood out of spite. The worst part is that team rwby lost the mcguffin and both cities so the writers vindicated him, with many insisting he did nothing wrong (he didnt).

Vivzie is so fandom-aware but somehow not enough to realize that you can't force someone to love/hate a character because even the most casual fan is media literate enough to see through.

By "media literate" here i mean being capable of realizing when the writer is trolling or biased (not everything is culture wars). The average viewer is dumb yes but even the dumbest viewer can identify a creator's pet or biases.

Stella's case is particularly offensive because it's genuinely on the same tier of "ron the death eater" shipping fanfics. Imagine you read a naruto fanfic where Hinata suddendly tells naruto "I LOVE TORMENTING YOU" and slaps him, only so he can divorce and marry sasuke. It's going to feel a little forced, isn't it?

So you have this nonstop victimizing of THE CHEATER and complete demonization of THE CHEATED and anyone capable of reading can see who is vivzie's favourite and will side with Stella out of spite.

I'd put part of it down to Viv not actually wanting to buildup to these ships and only wanting the payoff at the end, but Cherrisnake should be the poster child of a forced ship since there's absolutely zero build up to Pentious' feelings for Cherri. If you watched the 'mostly canon' pilot you're wondering when the fuck Pentious fell for her, and if you didn't you're wondering how the fuck these two know each other because this is Cherri's first appearance and she hasn't even been mentioned before this moment, what does Pentious mean when he says she's his archrival.

I have seen a HUGE problem with the angst writing here. See how the Barb and Blitz episode was about "respect the boundaries if the person lets go and doesn't want to interact again and you should also let go" (that was basically the whole point of Blitzo - he's so clingy to the point of being a stalker and is so bitter and bitchy as shown with Verosika). What was the next episode? Fizz, another person Blitz hurt, FORGIVES BLITZ because Viv wrote it so that it was just an accident where the cake with candles was tipped over and teh bad Barb and Fizz were blaming le poor innocent Blitzy for everything. Huh? That's a huge, huge contrast with what she was trying to say. Viv sucked at keeping it comedy. She now sucks at making it angst.

Viv can never use Barbie again because that would require Blitzo being the bad guy and someone not forgiving him. Well that's not true, she can use her and have her renouce all her actual character traits and become a Blitzo dickrider like Stolas, Fizz, and Verosika.
 
Kinda unrelated but it's really funny and sad how Hazbin Hotel's songs managed to be better than the last mainline Disney animated musical, two $100 million+ musicals (Joker 2 and Mufasa), and a recent 13-time Oscar nominated musical

Barbie could have been the perfect contrast to Blitzo, but Viv had to ruin it still because drugs and sex are kewl.

Barbie could have been a really good contrast to Blitzo. Once she hits rock bottom with her drug use in hell, she decides to change herself and leave behind whatever triggered it. The fire should have been Blitzo's fault where he sets the circus on fire in a fit of rage, and people rightfully dislike him for it. Barbie finds a NORMAL JOB in the human world and is working and saving money like A NORMAL, HAPPY PERSON and HAVING MEANINGFUL, FULFILLING RELATIONSHIPS in a HEALTHIER PLACE. Blitz, being a jerk, decides to not listen to the nurse and ruin everything, not because he has to kill someone this time, but because he decided to meet her again despite the clear boundary being set. Of course, she'll be more rightfully angry and Blitzo gets a wake-up call on how shit he's been to people.

And that's it really. Stella tells Stolas that she "tortures him" to remind him of what he did; the cheating. And Stolas feels no remorse for what he did to Stella. He says "I would feel bad if I hurt you, but we both know I didn't do that." Bitch, yes you did hurt her, whether it was her emotions and/or her public standing. What, because she wasn't crying? You do know that people also respond in anger when they feel hurt? That's what Blitzø did when you cut him off. But you're to wrapped up in your own emotions to notice.

Hell, he doesn't even think what he did qualified as cheating. He has little to no respect for Stella. Why should she?

Yeah like outside the "I love tormenting you" line most of Stella's hatred to Stolas seems out of rage of his actions of cheating on her and having it be not even a secret which definitely humiliated her and her social standing which on top of that he divorces her with the utmost glee.

She's clearly hurt by his actions, even if she's a bitch, she still felt hurt by how he was acting. Like she didn't hire a hitman before he cheated nor have her brother arrange a complicated kangaroo court.

Hell since Vivzie does like to control how her fans feel my predictions on how Stella could be more evil:

- Actually abuse Octavia on screen beyond just plain neglect (Which Stolitz fans unironically hope for)

- Cheat on Stolas (double if it was before he and Blitzo were a thing)

- Hurt one of IMP or torture Stolas while he's still powerless

Option 1 seems lame and on par with the course;

Option 2 seems like "I'm a reflection of you, and we're the same" (and thus shows shippers are cancer and don't understand projection - naturally);

Option 3 makes her a potential badass. Not bad.

I'd like Option 4 where she fucks shit up and finally has a happy ending with her daughter. But won't happen bros. :lossmanjack:

I agree. Now, one of the Stolitz defenders could say "Oh Stella only cares about status and her friends are all fake as fuck because rich people bad" as usual. But, regardless of whether people's friends are genuine or fake, accepting or bigoted, whatever - anyone with a functioning brain would be freaked out by the notion of her husband's mistress shamelessly saying "I fucked your husband" right in front of her face BEFORE other people she's with, regardless of relationship.


Even worse, Via has been revealed to be Ace, so there will most likely be the muh gender vs da bad society thing where she'd be forced to marry for status.


Actually, fuck it. The gender discourse and politics have messed up what could possibly have been a fun concept for a show.
