"When you're trying to produce a season of episodes with one animator, you're damn right it's gonna be rough. People need to understand that it can take a long ass time to animate something..... Think about the fact that it can take months to animate 10 minutes of content. Now try to imagine making a season of that shit. Of course there isn't much work to show in months, this project is pretty fucking ambitious. I've spent 2 months on a 3 minute animation before, I can't imagine how grueling animating a season of something with no pay would feel."
You see, normally I'd agree here, that animating a pilot by yourself is pretty ambitious, but the animation looks odd, and also, as has been shown multiple times on this thread, has many errors, with peoples hands clipping through their bodies. That's the real issue.
The best example of fast animating is South Park, and if you look closely at South Park you'd see that mouth movements are pretty rough. Hell, characters in GZ (aside from mouths) have more frames in movement than South Park, and South Park is a widely loved show.
South Park has a charming paper cut out quality to it, as that is how it was originally animated. The mouth movements are, if i'm correct, the main sounds and shapes made by the mouth, making animating the mouth pretty easy. There's not too much in-between.
Here's a shocker: cis white male has some more shit going on than people are giving him credit for. What a fucking shocker, you have to realize that these people aren't monkeys. They are at least slightly competent, they can develop characters adequately. If you're going to criticize this show, at least prove your own competency, "internet asshole" isn't enough on your resume to be able to condemn something and then pretend that unceasing insults and slurs make you intelligent and authoritative regarding internet content.
Here's a shocker, the character people dislike is Shona, because she doesn't seem to have any character beyond being trans. As I've said before, they describe the characters in the trailer as, "A troublemaker, trainwreck, trustafarian, and a
trans girl."
Also what "competency" do
I have to prove? Just because someone hasn't made a TV show, doesn't mean one isn't qualified to criticize said show.
I understand that your mind isn't equipped for much more than getting your jimmies rustled at something that somebody put care into, but do something positive for the world. There are children in sweat shops for no pay, if this really about the world getting handed a bad deal, go get your snide ass to Bangladesh and make an impact on the world, surely there are much more pressing social injustices than Gen fucking Zed, so stop trying to look cool for all your insecure internet croanies by hopping on the band wagon and whining at something with the tact of a 6 year old complaining about cooties while your friends giggle with enjoyment, without realizing that you don't look intelligent, you're just pitied.
Yes, there are worse things in the world than Gen Zed, because there are
always worse things in the world. But just because there are worse things in the world doesn't mean you can't
criticize a show. Otherwise you could just say that about anything. An example, "Hey, I really didn't like your film because of these reasons.""HEY FUCK OFF THERE ARE
CHILDREN IN SWEATSHOPS BUDDY" Also, apparently we are "a 6 year old complaining about cooties." Again, people dislike this show because of the qualtiy of the show, it's not just "oH GROSS TRANS".
But I actually like Hayden Black, Good Morning Burbank is some funny shit, he's anything but a bad writer. Met him back in September. Cool guy.[/I]
Black is that you? I agree, you sure are a Cool Guy
