2) Hayden Black has signed contracts with another animator and/or the same animator and voice actors. Not really big news

3) Hayden black has discovered trans porn.

I'd go with #2 since he said it was animation news.
Either he found another animator or he hired some cheapo studio in China.

I wouldn't expect any TV station to pick up Gen Zed based on that trailer, especially when they don't even have a pilot or a release date.
And Hayden's trans fetish probably doesn't date back from yesterday.

I like how he showed he was such an anticompetent fuckstick that it took him until now to realize that it's probably a good idea to write out a contract for his work.

So legal Kiwis like @AnOminous , would a contract where Hayden doesn't have to pay his animators or V/As be counted as unenforcible due to say unconscionability? Because being forced to do work under contract with no wages seems unreasonable IMO.

Unless both sides agree to do something, it just isn't a contract and there's nothing to enforce. So for instance if I say I'll help you move on Wednesday and then change my mind, you can't do anything. If I say I'll help you move on Wednesday for $50 and then I don't, you have a case.

I suppose he could offer them a percentage of the proceeds if they do whatever, but he still couldn't force them to actually do it, although he might have a case they owe him for the value of the work if he has to hire someone else. Which won't happen anyway, and a percentage of nothing is still nothing.

Speaking as an artist, the "contract" is probably just an NDA or copyright contract of some sort, which doesn't actually require any work to be done, just that if you do give him work, he owns it.
