There's actually an animatic for the pilot, they showed it at the con panel our Kiwi infiltrator @Kitlen filmed.

That was more than a month ago and they haven't shown any other footage since. Because they're pushing back the release date, they're probably having problems with their animator.
Maybe the guy even quit.
That'd explain while they don't have any new animation and the new vid consists entirely of recycled footage from the trailer.

Betting it's going to be about the new movie, barely a word about Gen Zed, but maybe a shout out to the Farms as being a center of harassment and cyberviolence.

Here's a listing for an audition for a trans actress. I get that it may be too specific for what they're asking for, but don't we know a few cows that would claim they fit that description?

Yeah, cause it's not like you have to be trans to write about trans people, and/or a trans person want to write about being trans.

Can you imagine a trans writer, who wants to create their own tv show, has a script all ready to go, it's something they've worked on for years, and then they find out anyone who hires them only wants them to write about trans people.

Id imagine trans people probably don't base their entire identity around being trans, and that trans media creators don't exclusively create media about trans people.

With comebacks like that, you have to wonder if Hayden ever managed to finish elementary school.
 
I wonder why Julie has such a stick up her ass for wanting trans roles to be played by or performed by trans people. Trans media is something that's barely produced, not because people don't care, but because it's not exactly something that people are flocking to watch. I mean, unless it was some really gripping story with a really professional actors and anything I'd honestly opt for some silly action flick because I am, admittedly, a bit of a moron with a short attention span and patience for stories that try to play the whole "oppression" card as though that will immediately win them awards.

Hell, if anything, she should just be aiming to be a great actress and letting the fact that she's trans be an afterthought. Although, if her performance in Gen Zed is any indication, I imagine that her name doesn't have a lot of leverage in casting. (Although she did do a role in Nanoha and I am partial to that anime. I think I might actually bother to check out the English dub and see if it was actually good at all.)
