We can expect twelve to sixteen years of this. It'll at least take Hayden eight years to realize that Trump jokes would no longer be relevant or topical.

That's an optimistic estimate, considering the guy still makes jokes about Jimmy Carter.

So is this trannimation coming out or nah because there are a few weeks of 2016 left and I want this bullshit to come out so I can laugh at it.

All the important details and links can be found in the OP of this thread.

The most recent information we have about the pilot is a stealth recording by @Kitlen of the animatic that was shown at Long Beach Comic Con back in summer 2015. It's the video at the bottom of the OP.

Since then, there has been no evidence if progress whatsoever, not a single doodle from the animators, no new material at all. Black has made some various and contradictory proclamations about hiring new animators/a studio/3D people, but there has never been anything to show for it.
Again, absolutely no new content for a year and a half.

The only one who still communicates about the show is Hayden, as the animator and actors have moved on to other projects and never mention the show anymore.
Black has been pushing back the release date repeatedly: the show was originally meant to air in early 2015. After several pushbacks, he now says late 2017- maybe.


As for why the production stalled, it's simple: Black does not pay anyone working on the show, not even the lead actress.
He has a history of making extremely low-budget, low-effort, low-quality productions and roping in other prople to work on them for deferred pay- except they never see any of it since the shows inevitably stop after a very short time.

For Gen Zed, he hired a single unpaid animator to animate the entire show (on Photoshop). Of course, the poor sod couldn't handle it, so it's speculated he either gave up on it altogether or is working very, veeeeeeeeeery slowly. The complete lack of updates points to the first option.

Considering Black has rather dishonest methods and a history of dismal failures in showrunning, it seems likely that Gen Zed is at best vapourware annd at worst a scam. Either way, it'll probably never see the light of day.

If you want to contact people who worked on the show, you may get in touch with Black himself through his or Gen Zed's social media accounts, but be aware that he tends to respond to evn polite inquiries with unwarranted vitriol.
Julie Rei has been willing to answer questions about Gen Zed in the past. She jas an account here @JulieRei , but she seems to be more active on Twitter. Still, she has less info than Black since he was the one running the whole thing.

TL; DR Gen Zed is dead, baby. Gen Zed is dead.

Thanks for your response! I know this show is probably not worth finding in some people's minds. I just find it fascinating that Black made such a big proposal, only to constantly push back the deadline. Some of what you say is a bit different from what I pulled to compose the article.

Based on this Tumblr post, Black says the reason that the show keeps getting stalled is because his animator does not primarily work on the project full time, based on my interpretation of the quote: http://genzedcomedy.tumblr.com/post/136960444747/gen-zed-update

He says that the show is now being animated by Big little FIX to speed up production. Can we get any confirmation on this? It's been about two years since he made that post. I looked into their website, and they seem to be a graphic design team. If he really means what he says, I am confused why production is still slow.

He also made an update on Facebook stating that Shona's 3D rendering has been completed, but Black didn't upload a photo with a reason why, and said that he was just going to upload it later. It seems shady and unprofessional. Why announce progress without evidence? What's stalling him from submitting the photo?

Also can I get contact info on the animator and Big Little Fix?

As this scammer isn't even capable of showing 2D stills at this point, I wouldn't expect 3D anything. That's just pure pipe dream bullshit.

He's stalling because it doesn't exist, because he's an utter fraud.

There's really nothing more to it. Hayden Black is a con artist, and not a very good one, either. He may be the laziest scammer of all time.
