I have. I always loved climbing trees as a kid so hugging one in gratitude for not letting me fall just made sense.

Yes. It was a gum tree with smooth bark, so it felt and smelt nice. It didn't hug me back though, so I don't think it enjoyed the experience like I did.

Mhh.. well I climbed relatively steep hills before.. and in order to not tumble down like an idiot I had to cling onto some trees, which is technically like hugging?
