As I'm looking around right now at the Twitter accounts of key organizations and individuals involved with Nuestra América Convoy, I'm being more convinced by the assessment that the advertised humanitarian purpose of the event is really just cover for a radical Leftist bootcamp and conference with the Cuban government to figure out how to save the communist regime.

As an American citizen, he is prohibited by OFAC regulations to stay at a hotel that’s managed by the Cuban military or government, but it is fully possible (and even encouraged) to stay at a ”casa particular”/private home such as an AirBNB or a guesthouse. It’s not even like all such accommodations are run-down shacks. For example, here’s a popular AirBNB that’s on La Rampa/Avenue 23 in Havana. As indicated by the reviews, Americans have stayed there in the past.

I have thought about going to cuba for the novelty/old culture of it, but I have had more than a few Caribbean dudes tell me not to bother because it's generally a boring shithole and that leads me to believe if they avoid it most of Cuba's tourism is various left wing pilgrims getting milked.

I used to go there every year as a kid with my parents since it was a cheap and warm place to go to during the winter, but there is really nothing to do there except tourist trap BS. The beaches are nice but there are other places in the carribean where you can do more activities.

This guy's video painted the entire country as one giant destitute shit hole. It seems people cant afford anything new so they've been using the same property or equipment for generations. Everything has this extremely worn down and smoothed out look from decades of use.

Yeah this was worse than what I even had in my head, seems like all the classic cars have rotted and they keep the few cool Plymouths and such in Havana for show.

Not to even politically sperg but I couldn't imagine defending this old timey cave men socialism banning all private enterprise yet your entire economy is based around serving outsiders for cheap. Still in the sugar fields and hotels like their grandparents but now you own nothing, eat less and your youth has fled it's nation as we listen to niggas like Hasan appeal for sympathy of the cuba people from their rap concert

I think there is like some kind of selective breeding process going on in places like Cuba... People worth a fuck are getting filtered some how. I think the people who wouldn't tolerate this kind of life have either been made to face the wall or they have fled. All they are left with are the people who are content enough to live in abject poverty before dying an early death due to starvation or preventable disease.
