One of the coping mechanisms of Hasan as he seethes over being surpassed by Asmongold is to keep repeating how more legitimate he is, that he travels around and meets and talks to important people etc. This is him trying to make his ideas about himself true retroactively.

When that is said, with the anger at Trump growing again both domestically and internationally he will probably grow his audience again, and doing things like this will likely work.
