What I don't understand is why people who live in apartments or tight suburban neighborhoods insist on getting big working breed dogs instead of toy breeds that were developed specifically as docile companions. They're powerful animals who have their jobs deeply ingrained into their being through centuries (if not millennia) of selective breeding. Your livestock guardian dog is going to be picky about people and want to patrol. Your herding dog is going to be pushy and nippy if you don't give it something to herd. Your husky is going to want to run and run and run until its heart explodes. Even little terriers were originally bred for hunting vermin and will have a prey drive. We created these animals to perform tasks for us and then we punish them for wanting to perform those tasks. It's incredibly selfish.

I'm pretty sure that the dogs on Hasan various Twitch art assets correspond to his previous dog Fish. But that's a good point about how dog imagery is a major part of his branding in contrast with how he seems to regard Kaya with begrudging tolerance. Especially when you compare to how Hasan's archenemy Ethan visibly treats his dogs with adoration during streams.

The bans and timeouts are flying. Props to Hasan though, his mods give a lot more timeouts than bans. With Piratesoftware, it was just permaban for every infraction, sometimes 25+ a minute. Hasan's only doing a few bans a minute, and maybe 10 timeouts.
 
Hasan "I electrocute dogs for the Palestine cause" Piker has been in total "OH SHIT! OH SHIT! OH SHIT!" damage control mode ever since shocking Kaya to the point where he's essentially in a blind panic. He's scrambling for anything that he hopes will make this all blow over, and because his mental state is so poor it's making him incapable of rational thought or reasoned planning. For one thing, his story has changed a few times. It started out "It wasn't a shock collar! Kaya just clipped herself on the cot!" When he realized that dog won't hunt and thought about it for a day, he decides to take off the electrode probes off the collar and taping up the threaded probe mounts without thinking through that showing that off would be heavily scrutinized and people would catch anything out of place. He also says it's a "vibration collar" and not a shock collar. He could have easily ordered a real vibration collar on Amazon and had it shipped overnight or even the same day, but instead he uses the actual collar and tries to hide what it actually is, because as I said he's not thinking straight because he's in a panic.

Let's say Hasan didn't shock Kaya. His reaction to her merely getting up to move was totally unhinged. Nearly psychotic. Who flies into a rage like that because their dog gets up? For all he knew she was just getting readjusted on the bed to get more comfortable. My Great Dane does that all the time. He will stand up, do a little circle, then lay back down. Kaya does it and Hasan reacts like she insulted his manhood. I don't watch Hasan, but from what I've seen about him he seems very emotionally flat. Whenever he reads an article or a super chat it is very monotonous and he's practically mumbling. The only times I've seen him animated is when he's worked up over some Pinko faggot bullshit, or because he's excited over violence. Whenever he laughs it seems so fake, like an act. The laughter never reaches his dead, vacant eyes. But his background prop dares to act like the living creature it is and his eyes bug out and he goes red in the face.

Ethan does in fact let his many dogs roam around the studio and even come play with him without ever getting angry. That just shows who is the more human person is in this conflict.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that when Hasan has a guest on they usually sit in the background with Hasan being super distant and uninterested unless they are super charismatic and command a presence forcing him to interact with them. This was very noticeable when idubbz was on and just sat in the back quiet. Hasan can’t even force giving a shit about most people. Ethan in contrast always tries to make his guests feel welcome.
 
Don't know if this was said already, but I find the 'its a vibration collar' really odd.
Its still teaching a dog with negative reinforcement, if its not physical abuse, it's still psychological abuse to tell a dog 'no' to its natural instincts.
