The more baffling thing to me is people so sure that those angry about this don't actually care about animals and just hate Hasan. Because people notoriously are cold and unfeeling towards dogs, after all. No possible way someone just gets upset at seeing one in obvious pain. Not like humans have lived alongside dogs for thousands upon thousands of years and are even the reason dogs exist at all and so most people have an attachment to the species. That's just crazy talk.

The collars, at least anything from the last 30 years, feel like a little pinch on the neck (copies how wild canines keep discipline). It's not a big deal in and of itself. What's abusive here is his using it to keep a dog who doesn't want to be where it is in a spot for long periods of time. The dog either feels constantly punished or is stuck in working mode and that's just as stressful if there's no activity. Its a big reason animals like seeing eye dogs have a relatively short career before they retire to be someone's pet.

Pikey's defensiveness and lying make it pretty clear he knows he's being a jackass to the dog.

It's the sheer confidence of such a statement with no proof or backing at all.

Like that's a pretty bold claim with literally nothing to back it up.

I think Hasan panicked and spent the first 24 hours trying to figure out how to convince people he didn't shock the dog. But he didn't think about how bad it looks to basically admit that he has been forcing the dog to stay on that bed like that for months.

He's probably realizing now that he fucked up, big time. And that's leaving aside the fact that people figured out he just removed the prongs and taped it up...

He would have been better off saying nothing.

Arabs' body odor is usually masked by a suffocating amount of cheap, oud-based perfume. Indian odor takes on a life of its own and actually creeps into things and stays there. I remember reading about a hotel who got in trouble for marking certain rooms in their computer system with 'C' for curry.

But given the real question at hand, Indians are nicer to animals than Muslims so they get a rare W.

I think Ethan Klein would latch onto any news that damages Hasan, regardless of his true feelings on the specificality. Whether that's justified or not is a matter of opinion, but what isn't debatable is Ethan has become a massive hater of Hasan. Ethan appears to love dogs, but if Hasan had a cat and was abusing it, I don't think Ethan (who I'm using as an example) would be any softer on Hasan. That's probably true for a lot of people who hate Hasan.
