What's funny to me about all this, is that Turkey really loves dogs and cats (especially cats). They're very revered there; so the fact that he didn't pick any of this up from his family is rather surprising.

I tried really hard to not say "shocking" because I feel really bad for the dog.

Not sure about dogs, but certainly cats they do like. When I went to istanbul for vacation once it was pretty fun to see all the cats freely roaming around and just chilling literally anywhere, on ice cream stands, in restaurants, on buildings, in trees (Not strays, mind you, muslims are ordered to take care of cats when they enter your home). That was kinda cute.

That being said, i only saw 2 dogs there and i think both were strays
