Let's be honest Hasan believes and practices absolutely nothing Islamic, and is Turkish in genes alone, he got the dog for the fashion and didn't realize he actually needs to care for his pets, seeing that he still gets his food brought to his room by his mom in his mid 30s he's clearly not big on the idea of taking care of anything.

You don't even need to actually shock them past a few days - just making a motion like you're going for the remote or doing some other noise/stimuli in association with it is enough to get the dog to stop whatever it's doing. They learn very quickly. I had a labrador retriever that was aggressive toward a child in the household and after a few months of wearing the shock collar he never needed it again, lived the rest of his life as sweet a dog as any. The collars do work and can be used reponsibly, but as you said it should be a last resort. Here it clearly wasn't.

Beyond needlessly hurting his own dog, I find it repulsive why he's doing it. It tried to walk out of the room and he didn't want it to. It's his prop, like that's the only reason it exists. It looks cute and sits in place at all times behind him, and if it doesn't it must be punished. Classic narcissist shit.

It's insane because the shock collar is meant to be used as a training tool, but you're supposed to leave it at the lowest level the dog can feel, AND you are supposed to use it only after a beep, but of course he doesn't want the stream to hear the warning beep, so he goes right for the shock. The shock is enough to make that massive dog yelp, so I'm thinking that he's an asshole. fedpost.

At the very least, Hasan has a big optics problem now. Everyone is going to be looking at that dog whenever he streams, wondering why she just sits there for 4 to 6 hours a day and doesn't move. Everyone is going to be wondering why she seems so lethargic and depressed. Happy dogs just don't do that...

I read that someone was campaigning to get LA Animal Services involved and I hope it happens. Only so Hasan calls up his good friend IDubbz to make a statement and Dubby responds by not doing it and instead doing a content cop on Hasan. It's like poetry
 
The most telling about it is how meek the dog is. If he was running and jumping it would still be bad, but he could excuse it by lying he damages things. Instead the dog doesn't do shit and he electrocute him for moving.
So either:
1. He wants the dog in frame to look like less like a psychopath.
2. He doesn't want the dog to be on his furniture, meaning after the stream is over the dog goes into a cage.
