I love when this happens to breadtubers. It used to happen a lot to SJWs back when we still used that acronym whenever they spoke to someone who actually lived under communism and had nothing good to say about it.
I saw this in real life back in college when a guy from South America who lived under a communist regime basically told the portion of the class filled with wannabe commie faggots to shut the fuck up and they didn't know shit about what it was like to live under that hell. They spent the rest of the semester trying to convince him that he didn't experience "real communism" and he kept telling them to shut the fuck up and eat dirt.

It was a glorious semester.

I've had similar experiences. Through sheer chance I've met a number of people who either grew up in the USSR or East Germany before coming to my country and all of them say it fucking sucked. Not quite the hellscape level western media paints it as --although we're talking mostly the 80s, so tail end of the regimes-- but none of them want to go back and they definitely don't want that shit implemented here.

The only people I've ever heard being slightly positive about the old days is the parents and grandparents of these people, but I think that's a weird kind of nostalgia/Stockholm Syndrome and they still prefer things how they are now any way.

Hasan obviously wasnt directly saying Hila was currently a legal target but brining her up at all to get a weird snipe in is so reckless that it's easy to see him implying that she is. Given he keeps repeating it i think he really does think she should be shot.

There was an entire channel dedicated to that more than a decade ago. A former soviet citizen went around interviewing avowed communists and grilling them on how much they actually understood about the ideology. Their reactions were usually the same as now: snide dismissal couched in rhetoric and rehearsed talking points. They're not pro-communism so much as they are Anti-America. That might not sound like much a difference, but it's a distinction that explains why they're so quick to roll their eyes at the lived experiences of people who actually went through what they're advocating for.

To be more clear, here is a bigger clip for Hasan's remark on killing Ethan's wife Hila, which was an aside he made while he was watching a new Sky News documentary a week ago:

I agree with what others are saying here that Hasan technically only implies that it is "perfectly legal" and "perfectly moral" to have killed Hila twenty years ago when she sat in the car during an IDF raid, not necessarily now. It was a spur-of-the-moment vindictive snipe at Ethan to say that his wife should have been killed back then. But at the same time, I also see the point in Ethan's response that there is an inference, especially to Hasan's radical audience, that Hila continues to "evade justice" to this day while she still draws breath, along with being reminded of Hasan's previous expressed enthusiasm and calls for assassinations:

But regardless of whether Hasan is meaning that Hila should be killed now or back then, I think what everyone across the internet is missing is that Hasan is definitely advocating ("perfectly moral") to kill 700,000 Israelis in the West Bank and East Jerusalem right now.

I think Hasan should get just as much charity in the reading of his remarks as he'd extend to any right-wing figure. Which is none so he's guilty of inciting murder

Its funny that people try to argue with Hasan when he just answers every point with "how DARE you say that when there is a GENOCIDE IN GAZA happening right now!"
Funny you should say that. I was trawling Hasan's reddit looking for any reactions on the recent Destiny stuff and found this:
Destiny Reddit.webp
Only three comments and one of them was a pinned auto mod message:

This message is pinned in a lot of threads on there (But strangely not all of them?) All roads lead to Rome Gaza apparently.

RevCom is not even a legit communist party. It's a known cult around some dude named Bob Avakian. Guy would be a lolcow, in his own right, if he was more well-known outside of left circles.
I would see their posters sometimes around college and I always wondered, “why do they put this Avakian guy’s name so prominently when no one knows who he is?”
We live in a world where cobes is dead and Hasan isn't. bleak.
Proof that Allah is real and he hates us

Seems like Hasan and Charlie Kirk are going to do a debate at Dartmouth College a month from now. I don't know how he's going to talk to someone like Kirk without his mods feeding him answers live. I don't think Kirk would accept the "but there's a genocide going on in Gaza" defense, either.

Hasans screaming will be off the scale.

Tiny Face vs Tiny Head

I look forward to Hasan acting like a toddler the entire time and people declaring him the winner no matter what actually happens.
