What’s ironic about this is that recently as of last month, the White House just announced that they are officially pulling funding from NPR and PBS, even though a judge is trying to reverse it.
If this is NPR trying to find their version of a Joe Rogan on the “left”, then this is just another example of them trying to search the bottom of the barrel to see if something sticks.

Journalists did this with tranny Youtuber Contrapoints half a decade ago. In 2018-2020, a lot of media outlets published articles and/or news reports (VICE) about how he was going to save society from the alt-right and TERFs with his slop essay videos.
Not did that not happen, but Contrapoints has now been cancelled by his own fanbase over a dozen times for acts of wrongthink – mostly "transphobia" and "zionism". Five years ago, it was hard to imagine that he would be cancelled for any of those things. Yet here we are.
In five years time, Hasan will very likely have done something that will have caused his fanbase to turn against him and cancel him for not being radical enough and/or wrongthink.

For all the criticism of NPR, their pop culture podcasts are an especially toxic breed with absolutely no sense of professionalism or desire to be fair.
I've never listened to It's Been a Minute, but one thing I do remember is that that dipshit Sam Sanders left the NPR Politics Podcast to host it so there's no way it's an exception to the usual rules about NPR pop culture podcasts.
I had a guy unironically (as far as I could tell) argue that Hasan is clearly very smart because he can spot negative comments in his fast-moving chat and he uses that same incredible ability to gather, process, and synthesize information to create thoughtful political takes.
